Just wanted to write a few ideas I have in my mind, before I forget them.
So first of all you won't be able to just tell the robot to look at the enemy and shoot at him. Rather you will have to use sensors. So there will be quite many if I will get them all to work:
microphone -> can record noise to locate the enemy
camera -> can see the enemy
heat sensor -> finds warm places
ultrasonic -> sends ultrasonic to locate
laser -> works as light barrier, if interrupted, it will return true
forgot already a few :/
whatever, every method can be blocked
microphone -> don't make noise or place noise making objects
camera -> e.g. smoke
heat sensor -> build a very cold robot or place hot things
ultrasonic -> send your own, so it will be useless
laser -> mirror
