Progress of the game is now shifting into OVERDRIVE (woo hoo) We have about three weeks before we unveil the game at momocon here in Atlanta, This week we have done a ton of improvements and bug fixes based on our testers comments and added new content...
It was brought to my attention that the research engine wasn't that clear, the system was simple enough, select from one of four research categories, Technology, Energy, Materials, and Xenobiology, the resulting levels of these categories determine the release of new buildings and base functions, but it was said how it connected to the game was unclear
to attempt to solve this we have added a Diagram of the downed UFO and a alien corpse, different areas of each and shown as the research point for that category IE if you are to select the energy category then a subsystem of the UFO's energy plant will be highlighted as the next area of focus for the researchers.... We were able to complete the Zero Point Cannon
and the Zero Point Barrier buildings and their functions, during game play you can take your cross hairs and click on either building to activate its function, The Zero Point Barrier generates a base enveloping shield to protect you for a limited amount of time, and the Cannon releases a huge energy beam into the sky, both of these are research answers to later UFO's player see like the Tributator vessel, which is larger then the play screen area...
We also have almost completed a fourth unlockable mini game where you have to launch interceptors globally to shoot down UFO's in high altitude....
