Today was probably one of the most productive days I've have ever had.
The level editor improved a huge lot, now supporting 2 layers (will support even more soon), which makes background tiles possible, like the fence in the screenshot.
I started working on the backgrounds, the one you see in the screenshot being one of them.
Everything looks a lot better in motion thanks to the new parallax effect, another of today's new additions.
I hope by tommorrow I can start working on the enemies, some sprite are already done, now it's the hard part(and my favourite ).
oh and as you can see, now you can read signs, hear people talking etc... This wasn't as easy to implement as I expected but it will be very useful for story telling. Oh and did I mentioned I already wrote the game's story ?
It's not finished yet and I don't to spoil any surprises, but the game will have a strong emphasis on the story, which is something you don't see in most platformers.
