Fall is here! Fall is my favorite season! So I'm loving preparing Motherworld's gameplay ready for the season. Here's a couple fall screenies. Normally it has a lot of roads and paths, but I deleted the big Onett back drop for these pictures because the old graphics look so ugly compared to these new ones. (The reason it has an orangish tent is because I was playing in the afternoon.)
Blue 66 has mentioned that I've kinda left everybody a little lost on how the actual gameplay works. So I made a vid featuring it.
These Zombies will only be out during October in Onett. In Threed, the third town, the Zombies will be out all year long past nine O'Clock.
I'm planning some sort of majorly goofy big side quest during October that you can only do during halloween.
Curse of the WereCow? I'm not sure what it'll be, just something really corny cheesy and halloweeny.
There's three Zombie sprites in the preview shots. The first is a clay model as displayed in the Earthbound Guide. The second is the actual Earthbound in game sprite for "Urban Zombie". The third and last is the Motherworld rendition of these sprites.
Awesome, we have another Fall lover! I have to agree; Fall is my definitely my favorite season. In fact, I've already started on my 2009 autumn leaf collection (I'm such a nerd. ). And yes... Halloween! The more sinister atmospheres and creatures- and you get to dress up as something totally weird and against your usual everyday clothing.
Aside the Joyous seasonal occasion, the video looks awesome, and very promising. Awesome layout design, sprites, coloration, all of it. I'm really digging how the date affects gameplay, foliage, and colors. Very innovative, it adds a good deal of interest to it.
1st: fall is also my favourite! (Strange....it seems we gamers like fall the best). Good mood in your game. I like it...its really fally, a bit melancholy but also "sitting on a cold windowsill, smoking, watching the leaves falling" style. sweet.
Thanks! (You oughta see what planned for Chirstmas ) My town makes a big deal about fall, we have a Fall Festival, a Corn Carnival(Celebrating the end of Corn Harvesting), and the Color Tour(Celebrating the leaves changing color.) Oh yeah, and of 'course Bow Hunting season starts in fall!(That's probably the biggest thing to my community, we actually get a day off school the first day of deere season because the school board knows everybody's gonna skip anyway.)
As well, as the date gameplay, well my goal is to have someone play the game for 2 months
Then I can die happy
Oh man, I remember going to renaissance festivals at some university in the fall and it was so authentic! Roasted turkey legs, Jousting, Blacksmithing, it was great! But then they had funding issues and the festival was passed down to some other people and it was the thing farthest from a *cough cough* "Renaissance Festival". And overrun by Salesmen.
