I replaced a lot of what was left of the in-game graphics that needed redone with my own work today. I will still consider them placeholders (especially the interface bar) for now. I tweaked quite a few particle effects and added a few more, replaced the brownsplosion (it looks prettier than in the video, but it might be even better in the future), and put the new scoring system in place (or at least started to). It may not look much different, but it took most of the afternoon! And I think this is the first time you've seen the actual gameplay with the new graphics.
Comments are always appreciated.
UPDATE: Here's a video of a more complicated level. It's an exact copy of one of the levels in the competition version.
It also reminded me that I didn't "redo" the art for the passages yet, that the blue one is malfunctioning, and that the dynamic walls aren't in place. But at least it's a nice change from seeing the first level all the time.
Marko also noted that he didn't know how to play. I'm kind of keeping that fuzzy for now. There will be a full tutorial with the game to make it clear.
UPDATE 2: I found the issue with the blue passage and fixed it. Here's another vid (though for some reason the quality is lower. O_o
Have to admit i have no idea how this will play rules-wise - i've deliberately held off asking/trying to work it out, however i do love the look of it and will give it a thoroughly good seeing to when it's playable!
You'll be even more confused when I post a video of a more complicated level here in a few seconds. Thanks for staying interested! There will be a full tutorial with it.
Not in a "wow this is the bestest game ever, imma make one just like it" kinda way, but in a "This is a great idea, but it could be so much better" kinda way.
