I'm thinking of going for a three eyed turret on the top. Instead of those large laser blasters on the ship engines. I don't like the cockpit much. I might add a pilot to give it some personality.
Umm, this is supposed to be a boss? I think it just looks like a bunch of rectangles thrown together. If there are blasters or anything on this somewhere, why not make them look like blasters. Judging from your drawings, I think you can do better. Add some plating, some wires or mechanical stuff to it. Look at robots drawn from famous artists (or browse deviantART.com). Look what they add to machines to make them look more realistic.
