The Basics to the engine are on its way now.
So far there are two types of baddies to kill;
Dog Ants - Little armored ants that move about
Pipatiers - Large coconut like creatures that spit pips when threatened
There are also weapons/items you can use and cycle through with the z and x keys and use with space
Arrows - Shoot upwards (good for killing Pipatiers)
Grenades - Explode on impact, has glowing embers as deadly shrapnel (Strength still needs to be done)
Dynamite - Large timed explosion (Can use for getting through floor blocks)
Health Jar - Low on health, use this when ever you need to recover
Also the more treats you collect the better your main weapon will be.
Other items that aren't fully ready yet will be fire balls, fire crackers, jump boost and speed boost
I have uploaded a little Engine to mess around in and to get a general feel of what the game will be like.
Bear in mind there are so many things left to do and errors to fix.
My main concern is that it runs smoothly on other computers and doesn't lag. If it runs terribly on most computers I guess I will reduce layers, colour mode and the number or active objects.

Shift - Jump
Ctrl - Main Fire
Space - Item/Special Weapons
Z X - Cycle through items
