Hmmm not bad at all, but a couple of things bugged me:
The intro scene with the battle or whatever it is, sometimes it looks a bit messey, like when James over does it with his particle effects in his games.
On the final explosion or whatever it is, the particles appear behind a black square ( I assume this is the bottom of a land tile or something)
Im hoping the dog's graphics is a place holder?
Sliding across ropes was okay, but did you consider users having to swing across them by themselves? would add to the gameplay perhaps, unless you wanted the quick speed you already have.
When I shot the robots, it seemed tricky not to get injured from the explosions.
thx adam. your last sencence is my skype mood right now loool. i will look at most of the things you said (except the ropes - thats what i wanted and the explosion - i should write a little popup note to that " dont stand too close to exploding zombie robots" - yes zombie robots - thats what they are -> placeholders just like the dog (until one of my painters has time again). best, J
