Well, we're glad to say that at this stage, iScape is 100% ready to roll!
iScape is our module for creating scenes / levels in your projects.
You can paint the terrain with our eay to use and highly effective texture brushes to create the terrain you want!
Once you have the terrain set out, it's time to add the props to the scene. These can be trees, houses, castles, walls, objects, anything! Complete with built-in shadows!
The final stage is setting up the collision areas in collision mode. In this mode you simply left click to tell iScape that your characters are not allowed to move there, and right click to remove the collision area. It also shows you the top background layer of each prop when you move the mouse over it so you can effectively add your collisions to the right areas.
The coolest thing (out of all the cool features!) about iScape is that once you are ready to export the scene, you can use the MMF exporter to build you a .mfa that will include a built in layer engine, collision detection engine, and more! It will have effectively built the base of your game!
Your characters will then be able to move between the layers of the background such as behind houses, under the tree leaves, etc.
