It's been dragging a bit, thanks to other personal commitments that are of a MUCH higher priority. However, S-M-R-Koban is still in my sights as a completed project. I'm also still aiming to have this done by the end of November.
I've implemented the levels that Willy C has put together for me, and I'm ecstatic with Hex's artwork so far. In addition, the game is taking on more shape as "not just another sokoban game." There will be 50 levels included in the game, and a few little extras that help this one stand out.
Video segments/slideshows will be prominent in the game's backstory/unlockables. The subject: processed meats, materialism, and financial corruption.
How in the hell will I do that?
Well, for starters, the game won't be called "S-M-R-Koban" anymore...Stay tuned for details.
UPDATE: The new build, version 0.7, is now available via the link above. Levels 1 through 5 are tutorial levels, and levels 6 through 15 are unlockable. If you complete level 15, then you can progress to later levels, but the level select screen is not operating properly, while level 11 refuses to begin as intended (and this essentially prevents players from moving forward and unlocking levels like they should). Working on it...
