2. Proximity mines. DONE.
There are some advantages to moving to a different town (about 700 miles away from your previous home) and unemployment. You have time to distract yourself from the crushing reality of joblessness with your own video game projects.
So proximity mines are completed, and I'm happy with their current state. I actually took the time to figure out the ForEach extension to make it work. Actually, it was one of the easiest extensions to learn to use; I highly recommend people fiddle around with the example. If I can work it out, certainly any beginner can.
There's an invisible detector surrounding the proximity mine. As soon as the player crosses that membrane, they will hear an audible beeping sound. When a short time has passed, the mine will explode, and if the player is in the blast radius their life support will be damaged.
The current build is dated 11th October (you'll see it on the title screen). Please download and let me know what you think. Proximity mines are included in the third test level.
The attached screen shot shows most of the Active Objects used in the game. I think only the life-support and energy counters are not included.
