You can instantly shoot the bow in your direction by pressing Ctrl. If you hold down Ctrl you can aim in finer directions with the arrow keys (movement is stopped while aiming). You use up energy the entire time you are aiming the bow since you have to keep it drawn back. The revolver you can buy later let’s you side strafe while aiming in one direction.
