This is a game than me and my friend been working on for about a year, and its not even a third way done yet! In case youre wondering, I need some constructive critisism so i know what to improve. I thank the Castlevania series, Megaman/ Megaman X series, Final Fantasy series, Mystic Quest (for SNES), and a few other random games for their awesome songs! And no, this game has no riders in it. I dont know what me and my friend were thinking when we named it. But anyways, i know in the first levels, you can fly off the screen, and ill fix that later. If it gives anyone to much trouble, ill just mail you the passwords to get past the first few areas. For now, dont be suicidal. Plz dont lie! This game has 135 frames, and i need EVERY one of them to be tested. That means look for flaws. Dont forget, there are secrets though. Also, if you get a password for an ability, you have to type each one to get each individual ability or item back. Anything that looks like its an area on the world map with no text means you either cannot YET accses it or it has not been implemented yet, and will be out once I update it a bit. And yes, the game can be really freaking hard. But plz dont say its unbeatable. I already tested the whole thing (duh). Beware! If you figure out a few passwords on your own (which actually isnt very hard to do), your abilities, items, level access, and any other global value related thing may not be there or may be glitchy! If i send you a password that leads beyond the first realm, ill try to include instructions for anything special you might need to type in. Enjoy!
:: UPDATE ::
I fixed up a few things in the game and discovered the many joys of transitions! I also made fun of myself in the title screen! I hope you enjoy these slight changes. If you're stuck on scorpion boss on my previous version, then redownload the game. Also, make sure you go to left side of screen after beating them to get hp and warp. Also, i noted something important to understanding how to avoid certain monsters. While they normally move realistically, or as bouncing balls (whereas they move in a circular like grid), you move on a square grid. Basically saying, when they go diagonally, they go diagonally on their grid, but if you go diagonally, you go both up/down and left/right. So, if you were slightly slower than them going only left/right or up/down, you would go faster than them going in both, correct? It might be hard to understand the way i explained it, but its true. So in order to avoid CERTAIN monsters, move diagonally, not horizontally or vertically. I hope you feel enlightened. Enjoy! (as if i didn't already say that)
:: UPDATE ::
Bcuz i need more of the game tested, and people will give up on something hard normally, i have put up a few passwords. sky, desertup, thepitup, templef, and themap are the passwords for the 1st realm and the Overworld Map. Any more problems and i guess ill slap all of them up here. Don't give up on the hard parts, plz! Just skip them or something. If the Pit gives you too much trouble, then just go off the screen and Super-dive.
:: UPDATE ::
Who didnt see another update coming? Anyways, i added the actual project and application to the zip file. The original level programming wasn't grouped and it wasnt that great. The rest is a little more sensical. We've got glitches too, and we need some checking, and maybe some advice too. Also, HOW THE MESS DOES EVERYONE DRAW SO FREAKING GOOD!!! IVE ALWAYS TRIED SO HARD!!! Also, this isnt our first game. We simply cant draw worth squat in comparison to yall guys at the Daily Click. How long do you normally spend animating one sprite?
