This is a game I just started working on Last Night. There Are 8 or 9 Holes I Think... I only put golden cup challenge in the title to seperate it from all the other mini golf titles that are probably on here. Click the download link and you will probably be able to see the picture at the download page. Please provide me with any comments, complaints, or suggestions with the game so I can make it better for any more work I do on the game. If you would be interested in working on the game with me that would be great as well. Thanks!

Keys:
Left and Right - Control Arrow
Up and Down - Adjust Power Level
1 and 2 - Scroll Through Pointer Colors
Ctrl - Shoot The Ball
? and ? - Scroll Through Levels (Youll Have To Find The keys yourself...I meant to get rid of these but o well)

Im sorry, typing with caps at the beginning of every word is just a habit. I noticed how long it took to download too...I downloaded it to my little brothers laptop and it took an hour, normally it takes about a minute per mb to download stuff. Any suggestions of a better free server?

Thanks Noyb. The bounces seem to work well with the flat objects...but with the slanted ones when you hit straight into em so it should bounce off at a 45 angle...doesn't quite do that..I'm just not sure how to fix that unless I make em animated objects with events or something.

Impressive given the time it took to make :-). The controls are somewhat annoying- mouse controlled targeter (which angles the line) would be better, but the targeter should probably be invisible to make it more interesting. If I'm supposed to be able to control the ball (which is cool) you should change the movement type (probably best to go custom)- race car sucks... a lot... ball control also helps lessen the annoyance of long obstacle loops. The stroke amount (relative to par) should be included in the score, since that is the point of golf and all ;-). Ditch the leafs, or at least keep them behind the main 'screen' - as nice of an effect as they are, they are very distracting. Separate the main screen from the background more- something like a thick picture frame, or some other border that implies there isn't a minigolf course hanging vertically in the sky :-). Other ideas that take more time: -Include a level editor / ability to load level packs -Multiplayer mode (online; make sure balls will bounce far-ish when hit, as to offer an offense) -Time-limited Powerups- I dont think I've seen a minigolf game with them, but you could have things like a flame ball that would break through walls and obstacles, or a homing ball that would dodge obstacles and curve around turn appropriately.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions James. I want to keep the leaves, I would make them go behind but then everything would have to be an active object. I just have bouncing ball movement and I plan to keep it that way because its easy and I just dont understand why I would wanna use racecar??? I take it when you say the pointer should be invisible that would mean with the mouse pointer, correct? I thought about adding that, I will probably make it so you can choose to use mouse or keys. The level editor idea..I dont even know how to do, you wanna make one for me? Online, never made an online game before...you wanna do it for me?? This game was made in 2 days over about 5-6 hrs, it was REAL quick, I was just bored. The background graphics I took from a side scrolling golf game I was working on awhile back so it helped that I didnt have to make those mario hill things, blue mountains, crappy clouds, bushes, or completely flat grass. I havnt added anything else though yet since right after I posted this game I left on a little vacation. I will switch the servers right now so everyone can give it a try. I made the game and still have fun playing it through even though I have done it many many times so I think everyone will like it. If you wanna help me with anything James let me know.

You could make the leaves transparent while over the game area. My comment about racecar movement- currently, after hitting a ball, you can steer it with the arrow keys, similar to the racecar control scheme. I wasn't sure if that was intentional, and apparently it wasn't, but might add a touch of originality. I'm currently spending all of my free time on my next game (which happens to include a very simple level editor), and unfortunately that free time will soon become about 8% of what it is now. They were just some ideas if you wanted to go all out on the game (plus I think I was very tired at the time :-)).

Well I just made this because I was bored. I will probably add some powerups and stuff later, I was thinking about doing that anyway. Right now though I am just making level obsticles and stuff though, I will probably add more levels on different type coarses like snow, desert, whatever if I stay interested long enough as well. I added about 3 or 4 new holes to the updated download as well. If anyone wants to design some holes just ask, you dont have to make anything new, you can just be a level editor for me. I can make new obsticles and stuff for ya too if you have any ideas...Noone seems to be downloadin this much tho....O well...

this game has brought mostly pleasure to me so far :D some levels are a tad bit difficult and irritating when your ball rolls too far and gets springed onto tredmills back to the beginning. A level editor for this game completes it :) Good work!

This is definetly one of the most irritating games i've ever played, but then again it wouldn't be very fun if it was easy. Its a good game, and has great graphics. On the last hole I got the ball in like 3 shots without even pressing the buttons.

Not bad, I like the art in the background & the level designs are nice. Not a bad game, I can tell it wasnt just thown together like most games here.

thanks for all your comments. I know some levels can get annoying with all the items on there...but usually there is a way around it. I might have to up the screen size so I can fit bigger levels in and make it less crowded. I havn't added anymore to the game since my last post since I just started school down in Moorhead now with no internet or computer available to me down there. Soon I will be able to work on it some more though. And megaclone...I stopped working on that awhile ago...was more than I wanted to handle alone. I got the first stage done though that doesn't seem to have any problems so I will probably get around to putting that up for people to play sometime soon. If anyone is interested in it I can send it to you personally as well. I really appreciate all your comments, and since I am going to school for graphic design, knowing everyone likes my graphics is really good to hear. Thanks alot. I still wouldn't mind anyone who wants to design some levels for the game or has any nice suggestions for obsticles or anything to let me know.
