Hi All,

Below is the Press Release for my lates game, Wibble.

"Wibble Blows Onto the Scene

Sept 2nd, 2005 - Red Games (www.redgames.net) has announced their latest product in their ever-growing line of unique games. Wibble is a loveable and relaxing game in which you blow your letters into the target zone on the game board. With an emphasis on simplicity, Wibble will captivate you in mere seconds.

More than just a game, Wibble is a personal achievement for Red Games. Originally designed as a way to get away from their latest larger project, Wibble was created in 48 man hours for the company owner’s 3 year old niece. For those that take the time to download the game, “Slim” game mode is named after her nickname, and with her getting royalties on any sales, Wibble will be her favorite game for a long time. An addictive side project that took the family by storm, Red Games hopes to bring that same atmosphere to your roof.

Wibble is a game of skillfully navigating the game board by controlling your gusts of wind. It takes literally a few seconds to learn and a few minutes to play a game. Every game session is different; in fact, there are literally quadrillions of possible combinations playable. The player writes out the word and number combination that must be blown into place. Red Games suggests that players make friendly side bets with friends by writing the bet into your challenge box. Win a dollar, a kiss, or a car wash, it is up to you! The minimalist design and toe-tapping tunes will keep you transfixed on this classic style game of skill.

Experience the elegance of Wibble, with multiple game modes and unique personalization that allows you to make the game your own. If you are looking for a simple challenge with endless potential, Wibble is the game of your wildest dreams.

Like all of Red Games products, Wibble comes with a 30 day money back guarantee along with a free 60 minute trial! Challenge your friends or challenge yourself, Wibble is the ultimate single player or party game. Download Wibble today from www.redgames.net ."

Alfie

P.S. For those at the Daily Click: Just for fun please post the first game of Wibble that you play.

Awww...I thought this had to do with Wibble Wackey World. :( This looks good, but, as a rule, shareware games don't do well on the Daily Click.

$20! Your writing isn't THAT good. Sorry.

This is the proper link: http://www.redgames.net/WibbleSetup.exe Dustin, You can make your own backgrounds for the game i.e. Wibble Wallpapers. I did not write the Press Release it was done by a PR Company. Alfie

You paid somebody to write that for you? Hell, if you ever want any more rediculous hyperbole in the future, come to me, I'm sure I can offer you a competitive rate. The game is OK, but I think it ought to come with a free certificate saying 'I am a total muppet' for anybody who actually pays twenty bucks for it. Twenty dollars for 48 hours' work? Yeah, that's real value for money, that is.

What was the first game you played? Paul J How about if I charged 1 cent for every possible game in Wibble, would that make you happier? There is one slight problem with that though, even Bill Gates with his $45 billion dollar fortune could not afford the game !

Actually, in medium and hard mode the letters or numbers that you use to play have an effect on the gameplay. I was reluctant to post this game on the DC, but with Rikus suggesting it then I thought I would risk it. With these sort of comments I wish I hadnt bothered, lesson learnt though... you wont be hearing about any of my other games or future games at the DC.

Hey stop bitching at him, it's his choice if he wants to sell or not. And its your choice if you want to buy or not, but stop chastising him for his decisions.

It is an intresting and fun (yet sometimes frustrating) game and I don't mind you selling it, but personally I wouldn't pay $20 for this... Sorry, It is just that $20 is a lot of money to ask for both the type of game and the amount of time invested.......

Geez guys would you lay off, if you don't wanna pay that much for a game, then don't pay it and leave it alone. It may or may not be worth that much (I haven't played it) but you could at least keep the harsh comments to yourself More then half the comments I see here are all way too slack to other people's efforts

Julian's right, I'm sorry I made fun of your insanity. Some people can't help it, and I was ignorant. In all honesty though, and I'm actually TRYING to be helpful, lower the price, the only dime you'll see for this game will be from family members.

Hey, this is an old atari game!

Posted by Rikus 7th September, 2005

There, please only constructive comments folks. Sorry about those other posts Alfie

Everything that was here was deserved.

is this the program you DONT want people to close by disabling any exit keys?

Strange as it may sound, we were actually trying to help the guy. But hell, we don't want to actually sleep with him. It doesn't affect me one way or the other how much he charges for the game - I'm not going to buy it anyway, but some people might. And he's going to make a hell of a lot more money selling it to twenty people for a dollar than no people for twenty dollars. To people who actually know how easy it would be to make something like this, asking twenty dollars for it is a bit of an insult, and so he shouldn't be too surprised if the responces aren't greatly respectful, but I think without exception the root purpose for posting was to help him out. They ARE constructive comments. If he can't handle the way the opinions were put that's a shame but it's his problem, really. Circy: 'stop chastising him for his decisions.' Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the whole point of being able to comment on games to evaluate and criticise people's decisions. If somebody makes a game where a lack of health powerups make it impossible to complete, are we not to chastise him for that? It's not just the point of this site to do that but of practically 75% of human communication.

everything about this product was good and nicely done apart from the actual game itself. I personally didnt find it enjoyable at all to "blow" letters or numbers into the center of the screen (for no real reason) Very basic system and idea, not really any substance there. Unless I missed something then I appologise but I couldnt find any kind of "game" or fun there.

It's 1984 all over again!

did someone say this was an atari game? ... you really shouldnt be trying to sell copywrite games as your own ideas .... im not complaining but i just thought i should warn you.

It's perfectly legal to clone games, providing that the title/branding, graphics, characters etc. aren't derivative.
