the engine is very sticky, 'dooge' for about 1 second, then you regain control, nice presentation though

I thought that some of the graphics were "inspired" by The Lost Vikings, myself - nevertheless, it looks decent.

how dare you f up MK in a strange game with weird controls?!!!?

oh blah blah, even though all the graphics are ripped it's still cool how well they fit together, and its a pretty open area, just like old pc games. I like it.

Uhmm...I really don't know how I should rate this. Then again, maybe it's better that I don't, seeing as I have no idea what the original game was like. What I will say is that I honestly felt like I switched on my C64 (well, plus the tedious 10-minutes to wait for a tape to load XD) upon playing this game. The movement, animation, lack of scrolling, etc were all scarily accurate. A lot of effort must have gone into the general look and feel of the game, that I appreciate. However, what this also shows is how far games have moved on since. It may be a good remake, but I don't find it fun to play on many levels. The limited combat, the relatively slow movement, the awkward nature of the jumping, losing energy when you fall more than two feet...and so on. All it really does is remind me how much better games (both commercial and homebrew) have gotten since, with more fluid controls, variety, less frustration and fewer restrictions.

It's great to see good games are being made by fellow compatriots, in this case, a Romanian. I'll download the game and see what's it all about but judging by the comments, I can already see it's a good remake. Bafta, Alexandru!

It's OK. Through the ripped graphics and strange controls is a decent game :)

Jacob A Holden what good games have we seen YOU make?

Posted by thinlikenate 7th October, 2005

"Jacob A Holden what good games have we seen YOU make?" who cares if he's never made a good game? or any game at all, for that matter. he's still allowed to say "THIS GAME SUCKS."

Well, the game is very nice but I really don't like ripped graphics. Still, the designer seems to have a very good sense for graphical design(presentation, menus and stuff). I was never a fan of the original Saboteur(C-64 version) so I can’t like this game much too. So I won't score this game. I'm indifferent.

Thanks to all those who enjoyed my game and wrote a few lines about it!
In the menu, there's a list with the games I've "borrowed" graphics from. All the respect to their authors.
Sorry for those that did not enjoyed the movement or the fighting style. I wanted to keep it similar to the original game that I've played a really long time ago, on z80
