The download has been fixed! I messed up and uploaded the old version of It's A Draw. PLEASE RE-DOWNLOAD.

It's a Draw Game Engine is a drawing engine. It has many features including:

Accuracy Adjustment
Shape recognition regardless of size or place
Easily add extra features
Easily change the commands
Full screen drawing
Closest Match Finding
and more

I did not put in comments, so it may be hard to understand what the crap I an doing in some places, but you don't have to understand everything. If you really want comments, I can add them, but for now there are none.

It's a Draw uses the Easy Grid Object. It finds which cell of the grid yout mouse is in, and compares that to the last cell that your mouse was in. It writes R (right), L (left), U (up), or D (down) every time your mouse moves to a cell in a different direction. This allows you to start anywhere, and draw in almost any size. Changing the width and highth of the cells changes the accuracy (the default is 128*96). You can change the command codes (the L's R's U's and D's) by changing the COMMANDS list. You can change what the edit box displays when you draw that command by changing the COMMAND NAMES list. If you leave everything else alone you will be fine. If you use this in one of your games, please give me some credit; you may use the "technology" in this without giving me credit. If you have any Questions/Comments, post them below.

Needs:
The String Parser 2 Object
The Easy Grid Object
The String Manipulator Object
MMF

NOTE: The screenshot is the Logo; I couldn't think of anything else to do because at this point the interface is just an edit box.

YAY! It's finally out.

Posted by Keatontech! 20th November, 2005

Hmm, why do I still have 3 stars? I've submitted 4 games and 3 reciews, I think I deserve more than 3 stars. Oh well.

Watch your DC points in the user admin, there's a place that shows how much more you still need for the next star.

Well, there was. Make it, Clubsoft!

wtf? And you needed all that help on the code-it boards for this?

You could have just stored the coordinates of where you clicked, and subtracted it from where you "un-clicked" or something.

Also, this is kind of buggy and stuff.

Are you sure you uploaded the right file? The one I downloaded could only recognize right, down, and down-right and didn't use a grid object at all. Also, comments are generally helpful for any tutorial.

@Noyb: Hmm, well I don't know what is happening to you. Has anybody else had this problem? I know that I should have put comments in, but I was too lazy; this isn't a tutorial, it's an engine.

@Aggggge: I needed help with comparing 2 strings and returning the differences, which is only a small part of this. I have no clue what you are saying about the coordinates, but I think that I did that just fine. I didn't think it was that buggy, what bugs did you find?

It could only detect three directions, and the drawline thingy was all jumpy and stuff, and all sorts of general bugs. But I'm sure there MUST be a better way of doing this >=/

It could only detect 3 directions? Hmm, that's really weird. I know thw drawing is jumpy, but that's just so that it doesn't slow down the runtime.

This is very buggy and pretty poor in my opinion - there isn't really a point to it, and plus there would be a much easier way of doing it - the way Aggeee was talking about. And it could only detect right and down for me.

Again, is this the right file? Keaton, try downloading it and see what we're talking about.

Ummm, as above are you sure this is what you want us to download? I'm not really sure whats meant to happen but there are loads of over-sized counters adn stuff.

Posted by Keatontech! 22nd November, 2005

Hmm, i'll check it out.

Posted by Keatontech! 22nd November, 2005

OMFG, I'm so stupid. I uploaded the old version of IAD. Sorry, Fixing...
