Addictive Football is similar in style to the great games of yesteryear such as Sensible Soccer and Kick Off. Play 5-a-side rules on a variety of different pitches with 5 different game modes to choose from. Including Knockout Cups and League style games as well as a Custom Game Mode where you set the team skills yourself.
Graphics i like, gameplay is very pick up and play which is good. Does feel a bit simplistic (no fouls, throw ins, corners, free kicks etc) but i guess that is the feel you are going for. I think you will find it hard to sell a copy at $19.99 when sensible soccer can be downloaded for free and contains many more features. Good effort tho, best footy game i have seen made in click.
*character perspective is wrong
*things missing: tackling/fouls, throw ins, corners, free-kicks etc
*Menus and buttons are functional but very basic looking
*gameplay does not feel as smooth as Sensible Soccer
*the Keepers "Magic teleport grab" bug from the latest release of Sensible World of Soccer (ps2) is here - intentionally?
Del Duio, you call football (with Yankee rules) a game in which steroid-pumped helmet-headed players run the ball in their hands on a field with chalk lines on the pitch every 10 yards or so? Foam plastic fingers, franchise teams relocating whenever some dude with authority and $$$ says it should be done. The whole world does not run by what the American sport authorities have decided, mind you
Yeah, you gotcha me there, gotta agree. Too delicious bait not to fall for it...
Anyway, I got to try this game later on. Could be pretty difficult to get it sold even though it's great stuff like this can be created with MMF.
Huh, when installing the demo it says that there is a "Data error in the following file: C:\Program Files\Addictive Football Demo\cncs232.dll", also "Do you want to continue anyway?". When I click "Yes" it goes to screen where it says "Addictive Football Demo has not been totally installed because of the following reason: Buy Addictive Football Today!.url: This file contains invalid data. You will have to run this utility again to install Addictive Football Demo."
Confusing... Stupid windows where there is no ability to select the text and copy it to the clipboard, bah.
Previously I've preferred installers instead of regular ZIP/RAR packages but I'm beginning to change my mind after this case and Swistakowy Kłopot. At least the majority of stuff posted here on TDC shouldn't have installers.
The game was never designed to include any of these things. The game is meant to be played in an enclosed area, therefore no throw-ins or corners. This was a design decision so that the action was non-stop throughout.
A new version is going to be uploaded early(ish) next week which will have some changes/new features.
A new version has just been uploaded (same link as above).
This version has the following improvements:

* A couple of bug fixes to do with Player Vs Player code.
* Text on Key Config page explaining the controls.
* A couple of minor bug fixes.
