this is a... interesting movement engine. it is something i've been trying to get right for a while now, and have just figured out the final problem. to sum it up, its a magnet that pushes around a ball at a given momentum, which is basically determined by the distance between the magnet, and the other... magnetball. its using an inverse rule that is kinda hard to explain, have a look at this article for more information on the inverse rule.
yeah! so have this engine, i've done it in the form of a magnet style, but it can really easily be replicated into something like a bomb. sending particles or enemies in a direction, at a speed relative to the distance! i think this is pretty useful.

hope you find it handy! have fun.

Looks good! I did something similar with gravitation in my Super Mario Galaxy-esque engine, if you saw that. The math is kind of simple I guess, just force equal to the inverse square of the distance. Always nice to see it implemented.

ooh!? the mario engine! i remember that! that was gewd. you used the inverse square rule for that? i didn't realise! sweet. it really is an amazing rule. so helpful.

I also did something similar in a 24 hour comp - Vertix I think it was called.
