A Second Face is a traditional 3rd Person Adventure game with the following setting:

In the infinity of space there is a planet with two faces turning around an old, white sun to which it always shows the same side. The other is enveloped in total darkness.

On each face life has developed in a different way. The bright side is inhabited by people who call themselves Strefis, the illuminated ones, while the dark side is populated by the Ugeltz, the people of night.

No Ugeltz has ever seen a Strefis however each civilisation remembers the other, in legends.

You play Rabokk on the dark side of the planet, where you must look for the light side. This misterious investigation brings you through an interactive, breathing world full of riddles and evil characters.

Wow...a lot of effort went into this! Very atmospheric and immersive. I enjoyed wandering around the locations, clicking and reading about the objects and people in the game world, and exploring all the different places. The beginning cinematic sequence, complete with characters whose mouths move while speaking, was very well crafted.

I'm horrible at these types of games, myself...But this one promises to be a rewarding game experience for fans of the genre. Excellent job!

Those monster look like those things out of Flashback on the SNES.

I couldn't get this to work-- I can get to the opening "language selection" screen, but then I get an error box telling me that some sort of exception occured. Maybe it's because I don't meet the 1600 Ghz requirement (wink).

If the game doesn't run:
Try loading the setup.exe programm and change the graphic filter... The game runs via directx... Maybe try to reduce the game to 16bit color deep.
There is an option for this in the setup dialogue...

Very impressive game. A lot of work has been put into it. The scope of this adventure is enormous and it takes several hours to finish it.

It was a bit hard to get through the game, especially at one point I needed a walkthrough. But never the less one of the best games that I've played in the last five years...
