NEW VERSION UPLOADED: 6/10/2009
This new version fixes a lot of bugs and I've added Endings for the Story and Arcade mode.

Also, Character movelist can be viewed in

_______________________________________________

Bullets of the Revolver tells the story of Raymond Walker and Marguerite Roberts, two bandits from the Old West looking for a legendary cave of gold located somewhere on the outskirts of Bolton City.

Troubles and enemies await for them on the journey they will go to find the legendary golden cave. Join them on this adventure and fight against 10 different characters in Story mode.

The arcade mode offers one-on-one battle against all characters. Challenge a friend in versus mode, playing on the same keyboard or using gamepads.

PS: There's a few stuff missing in the game yet, like some people in background, some music and sound effects.

This is somehow an apetizer of how Duel Toys 2 is, please, report bugs.

Default controls:
WASD moves character.
J=Punch
K=Kick
U=Special

Any direction + U next to opponent=Grab
Down, Front + U= Special, when patience bar is full.

and please, don't play in "full screen" it messes all the graphics.

This is probably obvious to others, but how do you use special?

I love this already, westerns FTW!

Neat character designs. The special attacks seem tricky to pull off from my initial tests, but otherwise the controls are quite nice. With some final polish, it's a five-star game. Looking forward to Duel Toys 2 as well, based on this sample.

Most special attacks are hadoukens, shoryukens and sonic booms.

In need of some antialiasing, I believe!

Otherwise, looks great.

Could you please state what buttons to use in the game? "Press Any Button to start" is confusing

He did post instructions, you know.

This is indeed a very interesting game, but it does need some antialiasing and a bit more polishing to it.

Pros: The first thing I noticed we're the graphics. They are spot on, color and design wise.

When I started the first battle, I was deeply impressed with the fine tuned battle engine. A definite strong point in the game.

As with Duel Toys 2, I like the wide selection of characters to play as or face. Especially on arcade mode.

Cons: I felt that the storyline was lacking a bit. It seemed very smushed together and went by a little too fast. If anything, I'd recommend adding more detail to, you know, here and there.

I feel like the fade transitions between frames or texts felt a little too fast. If they were slower it would correspond with the speed and intensity of the gameplay.

I noticed that when I tried to use my special attack, I had only succeeded once. Unless I'm doing something wrong, this will need some more fine tuning.

The level where Raymond and Marguerite ride on the horse seems a tad too difficult, due to the slow side-to-side movement, so my suggestions would be to... 1.) Increase the speed of the horse
2.) Slow down the rate of obstacle generation
3.) Slow down the scrolling speed

One other thing that confuses me is how the train got past the obstacles you had to dodge. Unless the were lain by the train somehow it wouldn't be possible. Maybe the only way to correct this is to add something to the storyline such as "In the heat of the hot pursuit, Raymond and Marguerite chased the train. When suddenly, its supplies (Wood, metal, etc.) had become unfastened! And with a loud clatter the supplies scattered behind the roaring train!"

Besides the few scratches, dings, and blemishes in the games design, it's a very professional game with alot of potential to be had.

Doesn't matter if he posted instructions here, IMO they're simple enough to include in the game too (like most games should). "Any key" turned out to be Enter.

The game itself is wonderful, great job Diefox

It runs ALMOST perfectly in Wine: the game runs fine, but after several minutes of playing Wine throws unhandled exception: page fault on read (...) (note that this error happens only when the game is about to load "battle" screen).

Fantastic game!

I loved the Can Can minigame the most, hilarious!

Also, the controls were all really tight, and I managed to do the combo I meant to do about 90% of the time, and that's really good for me.

Fantastic! You know you've got a polished game when you can't tell it was made with Clickteam products based solely on the program itself.

I can only come up with two complaints, really. The first one is the logic hole that Werewoof described about the train riding past an obstacle-ridden track. The second complaint is the lack of a readme file with the game. It would help a good deal if you could recap the defealt controls in a text file and put it in the ZIP file, so that you don't have to visit the website/TDC in order to find out.

Now onto the good stuff. Did you commission the music specifically for this game? Because it fits like a glove. So do the sound effects. :3 As far as the gameplay goes, the combo system is just what you'd expect from a polished fighting game. Other than the fact that I couldn't figure out how to block attacks, I have no complaints.

The story mode was also well done, and I like the little minigames you had to do every now and then. 'Twas a refreshing break from the button-mashing action of the actual fights. Overall, I think this is a fine contender for the next GOTM, and so far, you've got my vote.

Game just froze for me on the arcade mode? Barry hit my player (Desireé) and they both stopped moving?

Posted by Diefox 18th September, 2009

maybe you pressed enter... it pauses the game.

Posted by Ski 18th September, 2009

Oh. See I wasn't told that.

Ouuuh.. I just found a big bug.
I was defeated by the can-can dancer, so when I tried again, I played as Raymond... And ther was no opponent.
Otherwise, the game looks and feels great. But I still haven't figured out how to make other moves than the basic kicks and punches

I just found a small issue, if you try changing the controls everything is in spanish whereas the rest of the game is in english!!!

Fantastic work on this though!

Posted by Diefox 19th September, 2009

Well, its portuguese, not spanish...

I'll fix that.

@callebo, explain me that, please. You did not go to the Game Over Screen when defeated in can can?

While the game is quite gorgeous and technically good, the character designs and outlooks really bother. The male characters look exactly like the female characters!

I'm not personally friend of the genre, but kudos for the effort/quality

I won the whole dance-competition against the other can-can dancer, then it was time for us 2 to fight. We did and I lost. Game over. I pressed "Continue", and I got back to the fighting scene, but I was playing as Raymond and there was no opponent. So I couldn't win, couldn't loose... Just stood there fighting the air

i've just had the same issue as callebo but when fighting cel grayhound.

won the gunfight but lost the fight, continued and got the issue above.

Another Bug: Before the can-can dance off if you press button A all the dance steps are pressed without you having to do anything, this then results in your opponent constantly twirling and the game not continuing

Uploaded a video of it to youtube for you if it helps to explain it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcendUrMwLg

Sorry about this. one more thing. Quit doesn't work!!

Wow, this game is very accomplished. Great job!

I noticed an issue with the Golden Golem. After I beat it (only had to win one round btw) I would be again in the cave but without opponent this time.

Also it seems that the Golden Golem is the only character in the game which is actually antialiased. All characters should have smooth borders like that.

Posted by Esperware Interactive 19th September, 2009

I beat the game and after the credits it took me back to the map and then I fought nothing, no one was there lol. Great game though, best fighter I've seen in MMF2.

You never explain how to block incoming attacks
The AI has a lot of upper hands
They move faster than you
They don't have to try 1 million times to use special
Also how do you fire the gun, It irritates the heck outta me when they are at a distance and just shooting me to death. Otherwise good graphics and menu design. Music fits pretty well too.

Posted by Diefox 20th September, 2009

jeez, you guy never played Street Fighter? just hold back to block attacks, I really did not think that I needed to explain something as obvious as that.

Posted by Esperware Interactive 20th September, 2009

Yeah I figured it would either be a block button Mortal Kombat style or hold back. Can't really think of any other thing fighting games have done to block so when I started the game I tried both.

Great! I found a couple bugs, like the one callebo mentioned. I figured out how to do the comboes for the hadoken and sonic booms, but I still think you should definitely mention it somewhere.

Another great fighting game! The only thing i wasn't completely satisfied with was the ending. But the game sure was fun enough to play ( and most likely replay) through! n_n

A great game but I also was only able to do the special move like 2 times ever. The controls are a bit weird too, I had problems selecting stuff and I don't think there's any way to exit the versus mode easily. Maybe if you put it so the player could hit the ESC key during the game in case he wanted to quit early that would be an improvement.
