Programming: Andrew Sum (aka Assault Andy/Netninja)
Graphics: Jess Bowers

Summary:
It's been 20 days since the zombies first appeared. Now, the only important aspect of your life is survival. Scientifically speaking, the undead can't live forever unless they continue to feed on humans... or so we hope.

Play one of two scenarios through the eyes of a ZDay survivor. Barricade yourself inside a tiny room and pray that you can last until tomorrow, or run out guns-a-blazing. It's up to you. But the end is near, so you may as well keep score.

Controls:
WASD or arrow keys - Movement (change control scheme in options)
Left Mouse Button - Fire current weapon
Right Mouse Button - Stab with knife (regardless of current weapon)
1 - Change current weapon to pistol
2 - Change current weapon to shotgun

**Requires version 1.0 of Phizix Box2D**:

Great Zombie game! I did miss some type of highscore submit thing to see what others have done, is it maybe possible to upload a version outside of the restrictions of the compo to add this? Would be cool! Other then that!! MMMM Brains!

Thats a really good game! You sure managed to put a whole lot into 20 events. This games sort of what I thought Zombie Swarm would be like, but with more features and multiplayer.

Reminds me of those good old Amiga days

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm glad you're enjoying the game.

Rikus - I had originally intended to include online highscores, but since it's opensource it would be pointless since anyone could just modify the code to upload any score they wanted!

Would anyone be interested if I were to upload a video of the AI following the waypoints, and pictures of the AI Waypoint maps?

Assault Andy, I would be interested

And you really have to make an upgraded version out of this one (more levels/weps/you got the idea)

This game is pretty amazing for 20 events. I managed to get an infinite score situation though, with all zombies piling next to the other side of the wall as I sit in the corner.

Glad everyone enjoyed the game! Andy and I had a lot of fun making it. My favorite part was sending Andy some graphics and then getting to play test the files he sent back. Heck of a lot of fun!

Here are the waypoint maps that I used in the game:

I tried to make a youtube video, demonstrating the waypoint following, but the quality turn out horrible. If anyone is interested you can simply turn on "resize display to fill current window size" and then change the game window to a huge resolution such as 3400x1400 pixels. This will allow you to see the whole gamescreen at once, and the zombies following waypoints.

pretty good game! I just had to update my Box2D The game seemed a little slow though. I could just run around all the time and shoot zombies. There was no way I could die (and I played both maps) It was still pretty fun for awhile Maybe add more stuff next time?

I had great fun here guys, reminded me alot of Gauntlet with the top down perspective & Loaded on the original playstation. Anywayz the professionalism here 5 star quality all the way, i had great fun playing!!!!

This game would be even better if it was evolved into a story based game with Levels!

I haven't played this game for long but already I can tell that you really squeezed a lot into those 20 events. Are the enemies Box2D objects? That's a very clever way of handling collisions for a 20 event game. Sorry I haven't had time to give it a proper go, but I'll check it out soon

This is just fantastic workmanship. I loved the aspect of trying to keep a door closed when like a hundred zombies are trying to get in. This just goes to show you that you can have alot by doing a little.

I had the maximum amount of zombies and no lag whatsoever.
