Okie dokie, I'm pretty sure this topic has never been brought up anywhere else. Probably.
The other morning I needed to get up for work at 6am, and I couldn't sleep, and I was still awake at 5am, so I just thought 'Sod it' and got up, got dressed and decided to watch a DVD. The DVD I chose was the best of 'The Adam and Joe Show.'
Yeah, there is a point to this little story. Well a few years ago, there was me and my best friend. We became obsessed with a number of things. The Adam & Joe show being one of them, a late-night video review show called 'Vids' hosted by a Welshman and a Scotsman being another. But it seemed we were the only people to like these shows, and we used lots of catchphrases that noone ever understood.
Which brings me to the topic title, what things do you guys like that nobody else seems to? Kinda like the rung under 'cult.' If it's Vids or Adam & Joe, then that's even better, but I don't supposed anyone here knows Vids, although Adam & Joe are sporadically popular.
Get your shit posted then.
Bum Fights was pretty disappointing, have you seen that? Some parts are alright though, how fucked up is that guy who got hit with a wrench? He just lies there and doesn't move...
I thought of something else I like that nobody else does:
I prefer the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre to the original. I thought the remake was very good, and I thought the original was really shit. Also, I prefered the remake of Dawn of the Dead to the original. I liked the original, but I hated the orange-paint blood, and the remake was tighter. Off topic, I went to see Saw today and it was sweet.
I loved the Dawn of the Dead remake, great film also had a bit of humour
Things i like that other people rarely do:
Rap/Hip Hop, Zelda WW, Gamecube, TMNT2(The movie) and a few other things i cant think of.
A few more people said Wind Waker than I expected.
@ Amnesiasoft:The Humans... was that a SNES game where you could move one person at a time and pick up various items to solve puzzles? I think I've got it somewhere.
Joe Satriani rocks Muggus, Surfing with the Alien has some of the most ass kickin'est guitar work ever.
I like heaps of dodgy TV shows like 24, that other people just laugh at me about.
Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.

"Isn't it always amazing how we characterize a person's intelligence by how closely their thinking matches ours?"
~Belgarath
People that pick their nose and flick it at other people then when the person complains claim total innocence and then beat the shit out of the the other person who was sitting there till a bogie hit them.
I just can't help but watch wrestling, the only reason I watch it is for the storylines, I usually turn over during the wrestling unless someone like Eugene or Hurricane is fighting.
Also if we can talk about opinions too I think Futurama is much funnier than the Simpsons, I'd watch Futurama over Simpsons anyday, so why the fuck did they have to cancel it? Is it really dead now or did I mis hear something?
I don't know all the systems the humans was on but I know it was on Genesis and a slightly different version on the gameboy (best scene from that one was when you beat level 3, nobody steals our idol) only reason I said that is because very few people have even heard of it.
I like macs too...can't be worse than windows(can you believe they won't let me replace important system files that are required to run windows? I mean, how evil is that)
As a boy, I wanted to be a train. I didn’t realize this was unusual—that other kids played with trains, not as them.
Pretty much everything listed is mainstream, Zelda: WW, millions of people bought that game, Doom 3 even more, Marilyn Manson, same thing... Everything in Rick's post is liked by millions.
Viva la Bam is one of MTV's most watched shows.
So, what are we talking here when we say "nobody"? 10,000, or a million followers?
I like Toast Boy, I feel that is obscure enough.
Steve Zissou: Anne-Marie, do all the interns get Glocks?
Good to hear you like some Satch, Ashman. There's hope for you yet.
Actually the album Surfing With The Alien would have to be one of my favourites at the moment. Nothing but awesome guitar instrumentals...oh baby!
