First, things first, I've noticed that lately, most of the admins taken in, where almost all from the same spot, Astr. & Eurupe, meaning that when admins need to do things like check downloads, people over here in the USA & Canada, are waiting until either 12:00 at night (24:00) just to talk to an admin, or get a download added up! So when we say we need more admins ShadowCaster & Rikus start talking about how we have enough.

Well apperently we do, the problem is, they are all in the same spot, & all get on at the same time nearly! This is not the best way to have admins, they should be spread around the world, so that when 1 isnt on, other is almost always on, making the site have downloads varified quicker, questions answered faster, & basicly, just a more monidored site.

Who ever agree's with this, stand up & be counted, we dont need MORE admins, we need admins from around the world! (Which is why I have been trying to get a place as admin for so long, I am on the internet nearly 24/7 just working on games or just on AIM, so I'd be covering a nice huge time frame & I am sure there are ALOT of other people who could do the same.)

i don't think this is a real-time site... people don't need answers immediately or downloads verified as soon as they're submitted. besides, just because an admin lives in a certain area does not mean he will be on the site at a certain time... i speak to shadowcaster frequently and there's 11 hours time difference, but we're both still online.

Geez, with problems such as this, The admins should have a support chat on TDC.

Well, as someone who's on this site a little too much to be considered healthy, that lives in the central United States, and who wouldn't mind being an admin (hint hint), I support Brandon on this.

Well obviously there'll be a lot of people wanting to be admins. That thirst for power...

Several admins are from the UK, yes, including myself, Wong, Pete Nattress and Andi (who did the TDC Goldmine thingums).

Patience is a virtue. If a game is submitted it may well take a while before it appears on the download list. The chaps at Gamehippo have a pending downloads list and they won't instantly add a game either. It's the way of life. You gotta be patient for these things to work out. You can't order something off the internet and expect it to arrive to your house a few hours later... although that is a bit different because of distance...

Anyway, patience is something everyone's got to learn. Even me I try to be patient with everyone here lol

I agree with the fact that DC runs fairly good, but why not better? I mean I understand that people arent always up for grabs on new games, but it would be nice to see your game when you add it, not a day after you added it. Just an idea though, glad to see some people support it.

I'd stand up and be counted, but it's kind of hard to type while standing up.

Just pick up your keyboard, hold it in 1 hand & type with the other, or put it on top of your monidor.

Unless your keyboard is on the floor, your arms should reach it even standing up. I'm typing this standing right now.

Ok, we are straying from the point, the point is, it would be a good idea to get admins from around the world, not just 1 place.

I applied for the last admin position, but it wasn't fair because Shadowcaster forwarded edited versions of my application to the other moderators and they where the ones that voted, the whole damn system is out of order.

I know that wasn't the point of this post but thats been eating away at me and I had to share it with someone.

If you can prove that, then do so.

It's a fair point that most of the active admins seem to be from the same time zone, but as an Honours student I think my sleeping hours are sufficiently skewed to make up for it.

Shadowcaster and Assault Andy are both from Australia, and that is a big time difference from the U.K.
