Alright I have been in many groups before and every single one of them has died in a month or two. I want to start a group that will actually get dedicated and make some games. I don't want a whole bunch of whiners that just say "thats too hard" and another negative comments. Also I want to be open to any game idea and not suggest a idea and block out all other ideas. This group has to have a wide variety of people with different skills to help and support each other. This are the kind of "jobs" that i want people to fill.
-Sprite Artist
-Artist
-Programmer
-Musician (I would perfer something other than techno)
-Website designer (Group needs a site)
-Storyboards
-Voice Acting
-Game designer
-Background/foreground artist
-Level designer
and anything else that falls into this catagories, and there can be more than one per "job". I'm not that great with making websites, so we would need someone who is good at that. I am already working on a fighting game, so that could be the first project for the group if this goes over well.
I am the Alpha and the Omega,
The beginning and the end,
The first and the last
I'm making this epic game with a few buddies. I was kinda hoping for a large enough team, but it seems that a lotta people tend to disappear when discover how 'hard' it is to do some of the stuff I had planned (though thankfully, our skilled lead artist and lead programmer are still doing a great job).
Anyways, to the point...
How bout an alliance? I've done a few alliances back a few years ago before TDC even existed, and they've proved very useful. If you do a little search on Google, you might find a few leftover sites that still link to my old Freebor Games site, ranking them among some of the biggest sites, even though I didn't really do much with Freebor back then . That be the power of alliancing...
Not much for either of us to lose. I could help you guys with game design, while you could spare any of your extra men or women for gaps we have in our team.
(BTW, I don't see much purpose for storyboarding )

I don't know about this group idea. I never get to do anything proper or just leave it cause everyone is lazy. If there was a spot with a "Game-Menu Gfx Maker" that's possibly the only thing I can do right now
alright Muz that sounds like a good idea, only problem is im the only member everyone else, like you said complained about it being too hard, or just left. I would be happy to take the offer though

"preferably set yourself on fire and get someone to take a photo."
Normally I'd say that comment was a bit mean, but I still haven't got over that time when I reviewed Fire's game, and he deleted it! I was only trying to point out what could have been better!
You could delete a review on your game? I didn't know that..

He did the same to me too. Unfortunately, ShadowCaster thought I was pointgrabbing, so he took away 10 points and then gave 5 back to me. I hate it when people forget their punishments.
I can do a few of these 'jobs' to a resonable degree of decency, basically most things with the exception of voice actor, web designer and Musician. My 'fortés' are probably sprite design and programming. I'm pretty much happy to do anything a group would be doing.
you don't have to be masochistic to klik, but it helps.
I can only really help at programming. I'm pretty good at it though.
That 'Alliance' is a good idea.
Actually, thinking of all the skill this site contains. I'm shocked there isn't more high quality games. People need to form teams if they want their games to look great. I've seen games with great graphics and no programming ability, aswell as solid programming and gfx made of lines. I've heard good music and seen great backgrounds. People need to make teams.
thinking is like pong, it's easy, but you miss sometimes.
Hey i wouldnt mind doing some sprite works or programming. If ur interested email me using my DC email or IM me at WickedStudios14. Thanks
"Actually sir, we found a tiny unicorn in your exhaust. It was jumping around poking holes in your gas tank." "Oh thank you I did not know that. A tiny unicorn? Wow."
