I've always wondered about wether or not people actually pay for there MMF, I use TGF because i can't afford MMF at this time and I can honestly say I didn't pay for it, at first, then i decided to buy it a bit later (concience type stuff) How many people here have unpayed for versions of MMF or TGF, come on be honest because if your not ill touch you...
Mine's legit, but I didn't pay for it. A friend bought it on my suggestion, couldn't figure it out and after a week gave it to me. I probably would've made a copy if he hadn't, though.
I bought MMF direct from Clickteam for about £65 2 weeks ago as my current project is getting too ambitious for TGF. I got K&P free off a Magazine and TGF for £5.
Well I highly doubt anyone will admit to stealing MMF, but I can honistly say I bought both TGF Pro & MMF. Best thing is, I got them directly from Clickteam, so all I have to do is e-mail them & they will conferm that I got both. I wouldnt have MMF if it wasnt for the Halloween Sale + my TGF Pro discount code though. Got me MMF for 50% off plus shipping. Thought I dont even use TGF Pro anymore, its still installed on my PC, just incase I decide to open it up for what ever reasion. I keep losing my code & I dont really like waiting a day or 2 to get it back from Jeff.
I have legal copies of KNP, TGF and MMF1 (for which I have lost the box and therefore my serial number, in a stroke of genius). I currently use the demo of MMF1.5, which I really should get around to upgrading to the full version.
It really does serve you better to get it legally if you can.
I lost my TGF regkey in a backup mistake (deleted TGF off my disk to make way for Halflife 2, and suddenly realised I'd erased my backup diskette a year ago for coursework).
Fortunately Clickteam keep records of their sales invoices, etc, so I could give them information about the original purchase, etc, and they could prove that my version was legal and thus send me the regcode again.
You won't get that if your version is illegal, so if you lose the code and can't get it back again by other means, then you're snookered.
And there's the obvious fact that in a smaller business like clickteam, the staff really do become friends. You wouldn't steal a CD from a friend, so why do so from these guys? It's not like we're talking highly priced software like Photoshop here.
It costs less to buy TGF than it does to get a decent pair of shoes. And if you're a growing lad/lass, TGF will probably last you longer too.
LOL, guys. Worst place to discuss this. See the rules. I'm not responsible if SC or Rikus decide to go on a banning spree .
I initially owned a pirated copy, simply coz the price of MMF would allow me to buy enough parts to make me a new computer (thanks to our horrible 3rd world economy). However, I somehow managed to get a sponsor to get me a full copy of MMF 1.5 Standard (simply because the Pro version would rip off too much of the budget), so I've got a perfectly legit copy as it is . I hung the pirated CDs (KNP, MMF 1.0) an example to all pirates who dare enter my room .
Though it's kinda sad that the real thing is almost as good as the fake one. They gave the CD key in some stupid piece of paper, and the 'box' wasn't really as impressive as it was in the good old days. Heck, I was hoping for at least a hardcopy manual. Fake CDs cost only about 8/378.18 * 100% = 2.12% of the original price. I wonder where the hell all that unnecessary money goes..
The world economy is really quite saddening. All of the world's problems could be solved if only people decided to change money buy how much it's worth per country (eg. for food, housing, etc) rather than how big the economy is.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.

Yeah, I felt the same. The box for MMF 1.5 looks very amateurish, the pictures on the front look like they've been stretched, it was probably done in half an hour in Photoshop. For £50, I think MMF is well worth it as I use it a lot, but the omission of a manual is a bit tight really.
The design of the box and the paper reg key thing suck. I bet most people on TDC could design a better one.
On the subject of illegal klik products - I did once "own" an illegal version of TGF (the Buddha one), but I realised that MMF was not so dear as I thought, so I bought that. The old illegal TGF is lost now forever, as it was on my old PC.
My copies of MMF and 2 TGF's are legitimate. My copy of KnP is currently illegitimate, because although I bought it, I gave it to my old school and it is now on many computers. This was kind of an accident.
Why the hell am I on the computer at 1 in the morning? No, don't answer.
