The sword looks a bit plastic to me, most swords are metallic but even if it is an unusual glowing sword some transparency would be nice. I guess its hard to see any transparency on a white background.

Anyway, Kitsune's sword really is that large and the blade is made of crystal. I'll see what I can do to add some sheen and make the tip look more swordlike. I'll also fix the tail when I get some time.

By the way: I like that sprite. However, in this still pose, the sword looks more like a fireball or something like that, maybe because of the non-parallel edges, maybe because of the magic-fireball-like colours. That effect might disappear in animation though, so I don't know if it's necessary to change that.
I like the big sword, it's really anime style, though it could look a bit sharper, it looks too friendly now.
Also, it's quite silly to let Kitsune point the sword forwards. The stance isn't dynamic and it's practicly impossible to hold your arm that straight with a sword like that.
that is a strange pose with the arms at 90 degrees to each other. and with the legs together very releaxed instead of in an attack pose.
But the actual pixelling is pretty good.
There's still some work to be done on the sheet shading-wise and whatnot, but I put him in an attack pose and made Kitsune's holding of the sword more physically correct.
