Okay, so I was having problems before with MMF 1.2, running a game full screen, with slow down when I chose "Resize to fit screen" or whatever. I was told to choose "Change Resolution." I did this, badda bing badda boom, no more problems.
Well, today I got 1.5, installed it, and now the game won't go into full screen. It loads up, the screen turns black, and instead of the resolution going to 320 by 240, it stays where it was at, and displays the small frame in the center, with a large rectangular white border surrounding it.
Omg LilSpriteX? I remember you! You remember FreakZone? I remember Binky, That Sonic & Tails racing game, Super Mario Games, Pokemon Battle. Brilliant stuff. Good times!
Anyway, try using the DirectX Display Properties, and using it's resolution change option. If that doesn't work, go into the application properties and enable DirectX and VRAM and just use maximising for full screen mode. This will use the player's graphics card to create an evened out display with all the pixels the right size, and run a bilinear filter on it too.
Ok, obviously I'm pretty ignorant as far as DirectX goes. I know how to enable/disable DirectX and VRAM, but how do I get to DirectX Display Properties, or 'maximising for full screen mode?'
Heh, someone remembers me. Thanks for the compliment, I'm kind of embarressed looking at those games again now. Hopefully, once I get this fullscreen thing figured out, I can make something much better!
If you remember, I wanted to feature a Binky cameo in a game I was working on called "Spike's Destiny". Although now I'm more interested in seeing if you'll let me remake Binky's Adventure, heheh.
Anyway, for the DirectX and VRAM, simply enable those in properties, then set the window options to 'resize display to fit current window size' and 'maximized on bootup'.
The DirectX Display Properties object is an extension which allows you to change resolution at runtime, I'm using that on my Sonic game currently since it requires a lot of large semitransparent objects and the current MMF build has trouble rendering then with VRAM enabled(apparently Clickteam are planning on fixing that, though).
