For a while now the old ratings could have used a little bit of an upgrade, and the problem with them was you could never really see how well you where doing. I had a bit of time to spare today so i gave them a nice blob of spiffy new paint.
With the new rating system you can see how well you are doing with your dc-points. The more stars you have, the more things you have done on the site. You can collect new stars (your dc points) by reviewing games, submitting games, making articles etc.
Now some people will like the new ratings some people will hate them, but i think its an improvement over the old ones. Give it a go.

Nice stars, but the green looks poorly trimmed, i dont know if thats a glow or what, but it doesnt really look like it. Anyway, its pretty cool. "I'm Rocking!"
Actally, a magaman-style health bar would be pretty sweet. The CI ratings don't really suit TDC. They're more like 'settling in' etc. to the island, but... TDC isn't an island. It's a pale blue box full of seafood. Or something.
I don't mind the star thing, but the titles for each staus are pretty weak. Like mine is "Feeling Good" when actually I'm really drunk and feeling sick. And the Noob one "New DC Arrival" is pretty useless because a lot of members go for ages without submitting anything, like for example Chicken, so they're not new to TDC. I dunno, I just don't like the new ratings, but the star system is good-ish.
Chicken's a favorite target dummy for the admins. Nothing like shooting a chicken whenever it decides to post a link to a porn site
I like this new rating system. The old one was so bland. Though the titles could use a remake. And the stars would look spiffier on a white background. Hmm.. I've been "DC Editor" for years, even back in those days when I was the victim of DC budget cuts .
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
I move that the totally unsuitible captions be scrapped and just the stars be retained, or something like that. As it is they're just silly. It kind of worked for CI because it counted posts, but I mean as it is Tigerworks is rated "Getting to know everyone"... anyone who doesn't know who Tigs must live in a cave with their fingers in their ears and be humming loudly. K'know. With their eyes.
The captions are pants, but the stars are quite good - although I'd prefer not to have them green ones. Maybe you could just have 2 rows of 7 stars, but smaller and the same colour. You'd have to make a new rating but it'd be much neater. Maybe the last rating could be for admin, and have the stars as red or orange.
Hey guys sorry for the late reply, work and all. Your whish is my command
Rating names will dissapear over the weekend and i'll try to come up with a spiffier graphics for the stars and maybe a totally different graphics but in the same style

Why don't you try just plain stars with no 'anti aliasing' since the forum posts alternate. Sometimes less is more.
A funny feature I remember from Total klik was that you could spend 50 points on changing someone elses rating, it was abused of course, i was called
'I'm a n00b from TDC'
LOL consider that a warning NOT to include a feature like that. Some were changed to things I cannot show (or remember) on this board.
Now see, if only Internet Explorer supported 32bit images, you could add realtime anti-aliasing to these via PNG, but some people are to stubborn to move to FireFox, which can view 32bit PNGs.
Hold on, have I got less stars? or are there just more per row this time?
You know, you could show our post count in the space where the rating message was.
Klik-Union has a credits system. With the credits you earn from posting, you can change your rank title, username and rank colour. You can also buy collectable items to display in the forum. Not to mention being able to spend credits on games in the arcade.
I'm pretty sure that I've read about it before, but I just can't seem to find it... Just wanted to know if the new rating system counts posts / comments as well or still just uses submissions like articles or games.
