I'm putting together a database of skills people have to offer, and skills people need. I'll explain how this works:
If you have a skill, like 3D animation for example, and you want to be famous, tell me your skill, and I will provide you with a list of people who need it. I will also keep your name on file.
If you need a skill, contact me and I will check to see if I have anyone who can do the particular task you're after. I will also put your name on file if I can't find anyone satisfactory. Though, the rule is, you must provide satisfactory creditation. Somepeople may not want any. Some may want the closing credits. Some may want the opening credits. Some may even want the game named after them. This is to be sorted out between you and them. My job is simply to find you each other. It's a match making service.
The only catch, is somewhere in the game, I don't care where, you must include the phrase "Team brought together by Jon Chambers" or something to that effect. (Maybe, "Guy who made the pathetic graphics found by Jon Chambers" That would be enough for me.)
If you want to be a part of this project, or are interested, but unsure reply here, saying what you have to offer the community in exchange for accreditation and/or what you would gladly offer accreditation in exchange for.

I think noone is serious here... This(what you do) would be a good idea, if people here would be more serious... but this site, and the game making, wouldn't be fun anymore, if we would be serios... so it's best this way...
The community needs a some kinda Klik Jobs site. Putting a forum like this is ok enough, but the problem is you'll have people who'd just 'piont and laugh' at applicants and those looking for others. Back when one of those freeware guilds used to make applications & offers privately, it was easy to find someone who could help. They probably did it privately coz they couldn't code a board for it, but whatever it is, it was nice...
Still, I've found some helpful team members on TDC, so all you have to do is be persistent enough, and eventually you'll find a skilled, underrated partner.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
The problem with this idea is that right now we have no idea how to determine how good someone actually is. Word is just simply not enough these days... Someone who thinks they are good at graphics might be really shitty.
