Anyone know what has happened to them? I read their post on the CT forums at the beginning of last month... and have emailed them this month about buying MooAPI and have heard nothing... I don't want to order if they're just gonna take my money...

From what ive heard 3EE is done for and theyve went out of business. I suggest not ordering anything from them until you are sure that they are still doing business and that ur not gonna lose your money. It kinda sux since they didnt post the extensions they made for free before they left, so now there is no way to get them.
"Actually sir, we found a tiny unicorn in your exhaust. It was jumping around poking holes in your gas tank." "Oh thank you I did not know that. A tiny unicorn? Wow."

Try e-mailing him here, csm@3ee.com if you already haven't.

Well I agree with Wicked, if they did go out of business, they should atleast post up the extentions like they did with Moo2 (even though that was just because they made something better), if alot of people want them, & they went out of business, its only right to just post it for free.

Where have you read about them gone out of business? I'm just [...im]patiently waiting for their 1.25 or 1.24b (whatever the next version is...) MooAPI release. The bastards (joke) promised to release it shortly after the MMF B119 patch. >_<
Evil omg~!

"its only right to just post it for free."
O.O
If you worked your arse off for years making something, would you release it for free because it wasn't making much money? That'd be like Ford giving away cars that aren't selling very well.

Well Pete, I have to agree with the others to an extend.
If your business is scraped and you do not expect to be up anytime soon again, the best thing for community (as well as for your reputation) would be to release your products for free.
Then if you return later on you can simply create an improved version (which is most likely to be needed at that time anyways) and sell that.
If you knew, I would have to kill you...

3ee made MOO2 free around the time that MooAPI came out (might have been a little earlier? can't remember)

If they are going so simply stop selling something, & no one is able to get it? Whats the point in NOT giving it away for free? I mean if people want it, & your not selling it anymore, give it to them, its only right!

What's the point _in_ giving it away for free? They gain nothing either way. You're just saying it because you want a free extension (fair play I guess). And I disagree with your argument "its only right!". They shouldn't be obliged to do anything.

Well it makes sense if you think about it, its not right to completly close off an extention to all those who want it, just because you dont feel like selling it anymore, so if you dont feel like selling it any more, give it away for free, everyone wins. 3EE dont have to worry about being dedicated to selling it to people who buy it, & the people who want the extentions, get them.

sell extensions - buyer & seller gains
give away extensions - "buyer" gains
keep extensions - noone gains nothing
so, giving them away would be completely logical.
Unless they hate people.
