okay so we got Platformers, Puzzles, RPG, Racing etc...etc.. Is there any NEW game concept not thought of before or are we all dammed forever? this could be depressing ... but it could be creative???

I mean, I think Katamari Damacy did a pretty good job of defying categorization.

My brother used to make pretty unique games. In one, you had to shoot the "cold particles" in a cup of cooling tea or god would make your house fall down. Another was about shooting grannies in pickle jars.

Whilst anything can be broadly categorised in to existing genres, doesn't mean there's no room left for creativity!

Yeah theres heaps of room for game concepts, anything in the universe exsisting or not can be tured into a game of some kind.. if you got all the genres you could think of and burned them, then came up with heaps of random words or ideas for things not game related and started combining them youd surly come up with new genres. The game types you mentioned are just ones that have been proven popular, we can experiment and brainstorm rather than keeping to traditional types.
