Movies:
-- Kill Bill movies (maybe i'm missing something, but i loathed them)
-- The Nightmare Before Christmas (i like the art direction but everything else lacks)
-- War of the Worlds (standard spielburg crap -- all action, no substance)
-- Titanic (long, sappy, bad acting, awful direction)
-- Lord of the Rings (not bad, just over-rated, overdone, and too long)
Bands:
-- Nirvana (average at best. if cobain hadn't shot himself we'd never remember them)
-- Aerosmith (older stuff was OK until they sold out and went poppy)
-- Good Charlotte (poppy pseudo-emo written for money and nothing else)
-- Breaking Benjamin (every song sounds the same. very generic rock)
-- Kiss (their music is just plain awful. that's all i'm saying about them)
Books:
-- Invisible Man (450 pages of the protagonist being an idiot does not a good book make)
-- The Man in the Iron Mask (the author was paid by the word and it shows...)
I don't read much so I'm going to just leave the book list at 2.
Hayo: I know plenty about Nirvana, that doesn't make them any less overrated. I actually like them, but they are certainly over-hyped, Kurt wasn't an amazing lyracist, the lyrics sound like what they are, drug-addled ramblings. Dave Grohl was the talent in that band, I'm glad he made his own band.
Teapot: If you think Pulp Fiction is 'utter toss', you need to get better taste in movies.
My list:
Blair Witch Project: That wasn't a film, neither was it scary or original, the concept pretty much ripped off Cannibal Holocaust.
Big Brother: TV at it's most lazy.
Oasis: Terrible band who's songs are indistinguishable from each other, they're proper twats as people and Liam seems to think he can fill a song by extending his vowels.
Can't be arsed to think of anything more right now.
Movies:
-Troy; A disaster of a film, with the plot depth of a puddle.
-Star Wars Episode 3; Just not any good. Only reason to watch it is the Yoda fights.
Books:
-The Lord of the Rings; A brilliant work of fiction, but as literature it leaves a lot to be desired.
-The Encyclopedia Britanica; I have lost all respect for this thing. It contains sweeping statements that are factually wrong and reflect either very biased or very inefficient research. After realising how wrong they could be about subjects I understand very well, I would never use it to look up subjects that I don't.
Things:
-Banana milkshake; it shouldn't exist.
-People who mix up 'your' and 'you're'

Films:
- Dr Strangelove. All I laughed at were the Hitler salute bits.
- American History X. Clichéd "racist becomes nice after meeting cool black guy" tosh.
- Saving Private Ryan. Action scenes are great but you can't make a film without a cohesive or believable plot.
Damien, I respectfully disagree about Pulp Fiction. What didn't you like about it?
Blair Witch Project is the worst movie ever. All it is is a bunch of potty mouths who get lost and get disemboweled by the muppets who hide in the woods. Most of the time, they're not even doing anything interesting. Just sitting there and complaining about being lost.
Movies:
-Star Wars Episode 3 (it was good the first time through, but the 2nd time through wasn't as good)
-Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (it left out a bunch of parts in the book)
Games:
-first person shooters (there's 50 million of them and they're all the same: Shoot people and don't get shot yourself)
-Runescape (it takes too much time to do stuff on it)
