You're new around here aren't you?
He showed us a picture of when he was alone on TDC. According to him and a bunch of other people "Teh community is dying!!11".
Its summer (in the UK at least) and people are starting to discover that there IS in fact an outdoors, and that they are daring to tread out into the sunshine for the very first time in their lives
91? Pfft, I've got 209 and I asked Clubsoft to delete about another 200 a few years before .
LOL, the community's been dying out for years, every year a little bit more dead than before. The good people are just getting bored of making games (for free) and there aren't too many new, fresh talent coming in. Only talented new guy I've seen was Peblo. And maybe Spiderhead
No more wannabe Hamishes, Rikuses, Beau, Tigerworks, Derek Yu, Mark Pay, Jon Perry, Silky, etc, etc or anyone to replace the legends.
Good new groups? Name one. There used to be Blackeye Software, Drunken Missile, The Freeware Union, Freakware, Freeware Top 40, etc. Now... everyone's running off making generic individual games, or teaming up to work (or more like fight) on games that never get completed.
The Clicking spirit is gone. It's been killed by people struggling to stuff hordes of advanced platform engines and realistic car movements and mini maps and editors and stuff into a small game. And in the end, the game's about how many bugs you can exploit in it

It's ok, every gaming site that I've been part of has gone through a little dormant period.
For example, I used to be part of a ZZT community, and it went through a point where nobody did anything. Instead of creating games, everyone on the site decided to just gratuitously and callously criticize each others' games to make their games seem better, which by the way, never worked. However, once someone decided to attack one of my games, another individual decided to defend me because he liked that game. Well, that was all well and good, but then he began to become crude and loathsome to the individual who tried to make my game look bad. Because of this, that individual started to pester me because of whoever it was defending me. When the fighting got to a certain degree, I grew detestable towards that individual and reported him to the admin. Once he was kicked from the site, he somehow ended up joining the site again and began to harass me again. Once again I reported him, and the head admin got pissed and shut down the site and it was no longer on the net.
The moral of this story; I don't know. I just know not make such good games anymore, because some ass might harass you, and you'll have to have an entire website removed from the internet.
Besides all that, the site was eventually remade and all was good, because people began to make games again and nobody criticized each other the same way again.
I then became bored with ZZT and found TGF and MMF, and here I am today sharing this story that none of you care about.
Back to the point, I don't think TDC is dead, people are just not making as many games anymore, but don't worry, it will eventually pick up in productivity.
I will shut up now, and if you bothered reading all of this, you just took a big worthless chunk out of your life just as I did writing this reply.
If intelligence is bliss, why aren't there more happy people?
I would, but I didn't submit my game to the new site; I gave up ZZT after that whole mess, and it was on my old laptop, so I don't have it anymore.
Besides, in order to get the game running you would need to download ZZT. I will give the link to the site, but the only game I have on the site, is my first game, which by the way, was absolutely terrible. I think they got it from their old database or something, but I never saw my good game come back on the site. All I remember about the game is that it was a spoof of the old "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" game, and it was very interactive.
However, I will try to see if I can retrieve my game so that you all can play it. It possibly could be on floppy disk still. I will search, and if I find it I will post it here.
i myself have been working on a title for about 8 months, i have worked extremly hard and am not going to release it until it is completely finished, which isnt for some time. this is because i feel i can produce a professional game as long as i dont cut corners, im not going to rush a game just to have it slated and i think this is most likely the genral feeling on most click comunities
people have seen poor quality games and no one really wants to see anymore, this would mean that people are spending alot more time on their games to better that which is already widely available on all click communitites.
i think this is progress rather than death, i agree that maybe alot fewer people are making games, but i dont think it will mean we wont see anymore being made, now we will be playing higher quality games with fresh ideas, great gameplay and better gfx.
i personaly would prefer seeing one decent game every 2 weeks than a poor one every day.
it would be sad to see this comunity die but i dont think this will happen for a long while. new and better games are on the way, we just have to wait longer to see them.

Well! One of them should be Scurvey Sunchez 3! the top of them all!
Then:
Bernard & Hank(But I don't agree with it's TOS)
Neonair Racing(With NastyMan in it in 2P mode!)
A Game With a Kitty(But without Scurvey Sunchez!!!)
Spiderhead(Though there's no cheese killing! And I hate cheese!)
And: Pink Prime(Though it has some awful Chip-tunes)!
Ack, I'm tired of platformers. I've seen so many of them I'm sick of it, like when you eat rich, delicious chocolate for the rest of your life. I was hoping you guys would mention something different
So, there, it's not dying. It's more of seeing the same thing over oand over again till your mind blocks it out. Kinda like pop-ups. You could say pop-ups are dying just the same way the community is dying.
