I don't see how its funny. It's just a 7-minute indepent film that became popular. It's about nothing. There's no plot at all. The only thing I found funny was the scene with the guy shooting the cow...and they didn't even show it. I wish everyone would stop praising it.
People quote it! I've heard the phrase 'Did you take it on any sweet jumps' so many times, and everytime everyone laughs. It's crap.
Sorry to offend anyone, but seriously, it sucks.

i dont get it either. no plot, no humour, no nothing. wasted over an hour of my life watching that film. then i saw 24 Hour Party People and life was grand again.
It's a good movie only for the ability to make people laugh after by saying "grandma wants you to leave".
Actually, it's a good movie. Most the jackass movies that come out these days only have plots because they copy something that's been done many times before it, few exceptions.
thinking is like pong, it's easy, but you miss sometimes.
To me, it has the unique property of being vastly overplayed even though I haven't ever seen it. If I ever do it may suddenly become hilarious in the same way that Zero Wing did (because I'm a tragic case).
I thought it was OK. Any plot there was was hard to follow, so it felt like I was watching a chain of random events. It was a little funny, but not as much as I would have hoped. Ok, I'll join I-HATE-NAPOLEAN-DYNAMITE club, even though it wasn't that bad.

I didn't think the movie was bad, just overquoted.

Did you just watch the first 7 minutes and accidentally sat on the remote control to turn it off? That is why you hate it I guess, because the first 7 minutes was awful!
I haven't actually seen the film yet, I want to but I just... haven't seen it.
The film started out as a seven-minute college student film. Some big company bought it and they made it into a feature-length film.
I have yet to see the 7-minute one, but I'm guessing it's better. It's almost impossible to make a seven minute film into a ninety minute film without loosing most of the humour and plot.

It's funny because it doesn't rely on the stereotypical, preditable 'humour' which the majority of films do.
"Don't be jealous because I've been chatting to hot babes online all day"
"Can you bring my chapstick to school? But my lips hurt real bad"
"Eat it Tina you fat lard"
Just some of the many hilarious lines from the film...
By a route obscure and lonely,
Haunted by ill angels only,
Where an Eidolon, named night,
On a black throne reigns upright,
I have reached these lands but newly
From an ultimate dim Thule
From a wild clime that lieth, sublime,
Out of space
Out of time.
It was alright. Kinda funny, but not really anything special. The problem is that millions of retards who would never sit through an arthouse film if it was the only way to defuse a rectally-implanted explosive watched it because it was produced by MTV Films. Remember, MTV's so cool they decide what's cool.
Although, I am fairl partial to very stupid humour. MY sense of humour consits of stupid jokes like "Why did th plane crash? Because the pilot was a piece of toast."
Peace of Mind you run away from me,
So make me lose my mask of sanity!
I reckon it was a great film. It was kind of odd at first, but that's kinda what makes it good. It's humour is much different than most of the other standard crap we get on our screens these days. There are lots of memorable moments, characters and lines, which is a good thing. GOSH!
It's not the lack of plot that bothers me, it's the friggin' PG rating limitations. My brother was Napoleon Dynamite before that movie was even conceived, except he could say whatever he wanted. And of course, after the movie came out, everyone thought he was copying it.
You know, everybody says that you have to watch it twice for it to be funny. Somehow I ended up watching it again and guess what- it's WORSE than it was before, something which I thought was not possible.
