It would be interesting to see what everyone else owns, as for me ive been getting my hands on some retro consoles so i'm running out of room for them all. I'm guessing over christmas a lot of xbox 360's, psps and Nindtendo ds will be on peoples lists.

Phart; its not actually Dual Screen. it is just DS. developers call it the Developer System and kids who act like they discovered it themselves call it the Dual Screen.
Phart- you played on a Psp I take it? I was fooled by the Dual screen's touch system and nice games, but when i got a psp DS really did not seem very special anymore.
Jay: It's not an initialism. It's just DS. Developers call it the DS.
My cellphone (what? this count! it has games!)
Haha my cousin walked into our xmas party with a discus embedded in the side of his head. He was siiiiiide talkin' all night.
@Jimmi: Hmm, are you sure that DS doesn't stand for Dual Screen, I think I saw that on Nintendo's website.
DS could also stand for:
Dog Shit
Dumb System (which it's not)
Doll Statue
Dug Sand
Dinner Salad
DKeatonTech S.com (sorry, I had to throw something about KT in there)
Da System
Dynamite Soup
Dopey Soap
@Digital Dreams: No I haven't played a PSP. I though about getting one, but the limited number of games all looked stupid. Also, the price tag was crazy, if you want it and all of the good acessories, it costs just as much as 2 DS's. I love the DS's innovative new features, and it's many original games. The PSP's only new feature is handheld web browsing, and that doesn't even work on all websites. I'm not saying the PSP is bad, the DS is just a much better deal. Why do you like the PSP so much?
@Phizzy: The toaster with Pacman on it doesn't count, or does it?
Gameboy (original and best)
SNES
XBOX
PS1
PS2
3 PC's (2 defunct)
The end...
Ebay rules for 'retro' consoles
By a route obscure and lonely,
Haunted by ill angels only,
Where an Eidolon, named night,
On a black throne reigns upright,
I have reached these lands but newly
From an ultimate dim Thule
From a wild clime that lieth, sublime,
Out of space
Out of time.
Phart I have both a PSP and DS, and in my opinion the DS feels like it was made year ago if you've played on both. There are a number of games coming out for PSP - fair enough the launch titles sucked quite bad, but there have been good releases recently and there are plenty to come, like MGS and Final Fantasy. The DS is good, but it's sat in my cupboard for the last 6 months or so.
isn't the PSP's MGS game a massively bad turn based RPG? With a sequel based on the same gameplay? And another spin-off 'game' is to be a comic?
And the DS isn't getting Final Fantasy? The 2 acclaimed greatest 2D Final Fantasy games can be played on the DS. a new 3D FF3 and the very popular GBA remake of FF4. And of course theres Crystal Chronicles coming out; a free wifi co-op Final Fantasy. Sakaguchi loves the DS, and the Revolution incidentally. FF is no longer Sony's bitch. Not that they're latest games have been anything to write home about.
There are a number of good games coming out on the PSP? they should really hurry up. the DS has a huge mindshare thanks to good games released last year and even the year before. Mario 64, Mario Kart, Sonic Rush, Animal Crossing, Castlevania, Kirby, Phoenix Wright, Nintendogs, Nanostray, Warioware, that musical game, Brain Training, that ninja dancing game. upcoming Metroid Prime Hunters, FF3, FF Crystal Chronicles in the next few months. the PSP has a lot to catch up on.
you might want to get it down from your cupboard, the last 6 months saw the creme de la creme of DS games. the last 12 months of the PSP have been dull, seemingly.
There is no MGS game for PSP yet. Its still being developed.
You're confusing it with Metal Gear Acid (MGA), which is a completely different game. I personally want to play games like Pro Evo 5, GTA, SOCOM, Wipeout and Burnout. However I don't want to play Mario 64, Nintendogs or even Mario Kart - just my opinion. Its just that the DS doesn't appeal to me - so I'm going to sell it on ebay
Only won a GBA once! Still have it!
Also, I bought a FamiClone but gave it to a captured friend, so people could play on asylum...
Anyway, I got several NES carts as same as GBA! Oh! My friend still got some carts that I gave him as a child...!
I know there's the original GameBoy somewhere in my room to that I got for birthday, since my cousin wanted a different PC or console for himself if I'm not wrong.
Anyway:
2 Pc's... An athlon Xp 2400+ that I work on, and a Pentium2 200MHz my dad works on...
1 GBA
1 GB
-Many NES and GBA Carts
-Wish that I'll have another Famiclone... Also a TV to play it on, Will be great! Maybe even getting some issues from it again... Wow!
By the way, I had a dream of a sort of an XT computer, maybe 386 with 5MB's of memory which was still working and it was running documentary movies about nature animals, Since I dreamed it was on a school like enviroment!
That one doesn't really count, the dream one I mean.
when on holiday in Tenerife I bought two Gba cartridges with 100 games on each, they were actually both just Nes emulators with 100's of extremely crap games, almost atari 2600 quality.
I bought them because the one I tried out had Mario bros 1 2 and 3 on but they are the only half decent roms on it. But it's not even a very good emulator, add the fact it's squashed onscreen due to Gba's lesser resolution.
yeah those 100 in 1 cards are always pretty crappy, might as well buy a flashcard and put 1000 nes roms on it. A friend of mine once had a 72 in 1 cardridge for the gb, it was actually a handfull of crappy japanese games and 40x mario land 1.
