Ok so ive made this huge game, ive done all the programming and everything. It has 27 huge levels. The only thing I need is character sprites. The game is really good eccept there are coloured blocks instead of characters. All I need is 4 directions for each character standing and walking. All the characters should look the same eccept their hair colour and style and their armour colour.
Good:
Erik - Short red hair, Light blue armour
Luis - Short green hair, Light blue armour
Lisa - Long green hair, Light blue armour
Saku - Short orange hair, Dark blue armour
Jakob - Short blonde hair, Dark blue armour (bits of hair hang over forehead)
Morey - Short black hair, Black armour
Bad:
Damas - Short purple hair, red armour
Lord Leimos - Black cloak with hood
Freal - Red dragon(big)
Luis - Short green hair, red armour
Please make characters no bigger than 24*32 pix (excl freal)
It's gonna take ages to implent those graphics to every single level separately.
That's why you usually do the graphics BEFORE you start duplicating levels
Begging for art isnt the way to go first off, second off... Axel, you can turn all the objects to global objects, then when you change 1, it will change the rest. Thats how I did Diamond: Revolution, when I wanted to make a few tweaks to the graphics after all the levels were already finished.
Those aren't bad characters! Why don't you make the art yourself? I think it's high time you start your art career!
I think if a kid would want to make short red hair with light blue armor and other 9 characters like that, they would do it for their own game, and they'd do it with the fucking hair color they wanted.
Because that caracter took me about half an hour to make and its only 1 direction without animation. Hmmm, ((30*4(4*4))/60)/2 = 16. 16 hours it would take for 1 character. (16*10) = 1200 hours for all of them.
if they are going to all look similar, then why don't you make one guy with all the animations and then use him for a dummy for all the other guys. Should save you a lot of time.
Well...better get started now then...in 50 days you will have all of yours character sprites for your game.
