Hey guys, i've been working on a project of mine for some time now, which contains extensive player-animations. The problem is, that i am not able to change 'new' user animations in the 'object behaviour' section. I've already used all the standard animations like 'walking', 'running','climbing','crouching', etc. for several animations of the player character, like walking, high and low kicking, punching, etc.
I have no choice but to add 'new user animations'. These can be called upon in the 'event properties' window, but NOT in another active object's 'object behaviour'. This sucks big time, since i am using a block with platform movement which is followed by the actual player sprite (another active object without any MMF movement assigned) in order to fix MMF's crappy platform movement (hands sticking behind platforms etc.). But now i would have to add the object's behaviour in the event section, because i am out of 'standard' active object animations!! Who can help me out? And yeah, i know my coding sucks, but try to find a good and persistent programmer, that doesn't leave the project after a few weeks (or even days).. :S
Thanks in advance!

Create the events in the event editor, save then copy and paste them to the behaviour, very often this will crash MMF, but when it works its fine (I think that's what i do, i can't remember though).
It's also the same with object qualifiers.
You could also think of using different directions in the animation, for example 0, 8, 16, 24 for one animation, 1, 9, 17, 25 for another. Depends how many directions you use though.

Thanks for the tips, i'll try them out when i get home. Still think it's kind of idiotic that you have to do shit like this. Just hope this will be changed in MMF2! Thanx again Nick!

Yeah, i really suggesting backing up the game before doing that, just incase it messes up. Behaviours seem very limited
