The extensions made by Clickteam will work in MMF2 that are in MMF1.5. All other extensions you'll have to contact the extension developers and ask them if they'd convert theirs. (Wow, how many times have I seen that question asked?)
As far as money goes, I've had the $100 for the product sitting around for quite some time, but I expect that I won't have to pay anywhere near that much since I have MMF1.5. If we find out that the discount price for MMF2 will be like... $20... $30.... or even $50, its the summer time, school should be out pretty much everywhere. Find a part time job for a couple weeks and you'll have the money in no time.
Well, working a regular full time job is better than being a kid who does nothing but sit around doing no work, living off their parents' income, and complains about how MMF is too expensive for their no-income budget... Err, wait... =P
I hope that there are a million new user sales for all the hard work that the dev team puts into click products. I really felt that I got something for my money, with great support and a great community. I could never expect a discount, not that it wouldn't be appreciated
I think the biggest fear I have with MMF2 is the fact that MooClick will not be in it, because MooClick is not designed by Clickteam, but designed by a company who has basically stopped developing MooClick. However, a good sign to this answer is that in the "What’s New in MMF2" page, near the bottom, you see the extension list.. and MooClick is in the list. So perhaps MooClick is functional in MMF2?
If anyone could give me some official answer to this and not a guess, that would be great. Thanks.
3EE let Yves have the source code to make them work in MMF2
Now its the same as the MMF 1.5 version.
With 3EE moving away from extensions and MMF its time for someone to develop a new "MOO"
I know a couple guys have been working on it but only time will tell how well it does.
The new Animation/Image editor brings up another question. Will you still be able to create "New Animations", or will you be stuck with the preset animations, and 4 extra's, like in TGF? I think having ONLY the animations you create, would make working with animations that I want, much cleaner.
oOoooh yes. MMF 2 looks awesome. I can't wait the next 7 days, but I have exams to pass the time. June 30th = a perfect date of release for MMF 2. I have one question, will MMF2 always screw up and encounter an error like in 1.5. I find myself always having to redo stuff.
MMF2 was designed from scratch, SUMGOO, so the chances of it having the same random errors that MMF 1.5 had, are less then 0.001%
Anyway, the new Animation/Image editor brings up another question. Will you still be able to create "New Animations", or will you be stuck with the preset animations, and 4 extra's, like in TGF? That is awesome news Jeff (about the MOO thing) my massive online project (of 3 years) is almost ready now. Should I wait for Fusion2? or will my project likely not work in Fusion2 (due to the many extensions I have).
I've been holding off the urges to start on a game project for quite a long time now knowing MMF2 could be released at any time. Clickteam is going to owe me lots after I'm done sueing them for all that pain and suffering... and mental counselling.

Chamzel, just start making your project already! You can open cca's and gams in TGF2 and MMF2!
I think the fact that MooClick is going to be in MMF2 is great news for ArcaneTale (2-3 years), I just hope the port will be smooth. ArcaneTale has been waiting for its big break in MMF2 for a long time, because of major performence issues.
Does anyone know if an update or patch for the String Parser extension for MMF2 is on the way? It's pretty much one of the vital extensions I'll need, and I'm hoping to see it in MMF2. Same with the FTP object.
String Parser is Vitalized so Clickteam will have the source. Therefore it should be easy for them to convert it. AFIAK all bonus pack and Clickteam objects will be converted at some point (if they haven't been already).
Then I'm set, ArcaneTale will have absolutely no problem with the transition from MMF 1.5 to MMF2, thanks.
Side from those extensions, there’s blowfish, but thats one of the bonus pack extensions, and isn't 100% necessary anyway. I'm just pleased to see that everything was very planned out before MMF2's release.
I'm more afraid of being disappointed. MMF > TGF > KNP, but MMF 1.5 mostly fixed things that should've been in the original MMF in the first place. Hopefully MMF 2 would have more (useful) features.
What I'd hate would be that a lot of you richer kids would be buying MMF 2, meaning that I can't open the files and work with anyone who uses MMF 2. Unless it's backwards compatible, then I'd support it all the way.

Here in Malaysia, you can get a 5 star hotel SUITE at a resort city for $100 .
I could afford it but hell, it's friggin $100 for something that might not even have much difference from the original. But at least it'll tempt me to make some good games so I could win it in a competition. I made Snow Siege to win MMF 1.5, but it drove me crazy because I didn't have enough alterable values. So I got someone to buy me 1.5 .

So far, we already know that MMF2 will cost slightly more then MMF 1.5 did, with that said. We can assume that people who got MMF from Clickteam, will already be looking at a price somewhere below MMF 1.5's original price without a doubt. I can't see TGF2 being much more then TGF Pro was either.
Does anyone know if you can get a double discount, TGF Pro, and MMF 1.5? Obviously I wouldn't expect to get the full blow from both discounts, but something?
Sorry if this has been posted before, but is the demo also released today? And will it be able to load CCAs so we can see how well it works compared to MMF?
Apparently the demo will be released at the same time as the full version is put up - and that'll be a few hours after it's the 30th of June according to Jeff-time. I'd say we'd be able to get our hands on it tomorrow evening.
MMF2 will open CCAs, even those which use incompatible extensions - all non-MMF2 extensions will have to be removed before the CCA can be run. Not sure about the demo, but I think it's the same.

(Double Post, sorry. I'd just like the answer, and my reply got covered up.)
Where is it! I want it! It's 3 in the morning over there. Get out of bed and get MMF2 up! Sleep is for suckers and people who don't have software to debut!

Brandon, no...you won't be able to accumulate discounts, just from MMF 1.5 which is the most recent version of MMF.
@Everyone who expects MMF2 to be available at 12:01AM
"Still on track for release on the 30th.
Just because I know we will get this post (its the 30th here where is MMF2) -- I am the person who is flipping the switch on the release of version 2 -- It will be the 30th but maybe not 12:01 AM on the far side of the planet.
If you're so interested in the program, how about visiting the news on the forums and see that he is releasing it when HE is ready, it will be on June 30th, but he's not "flipping the switch" until he is ready.
Yeh that'd be legal I think. But torrent of the full program definately not
But MMF demo was only around 17mb, and I doubt MMF2 will be much bigger (20mb to 30mb at the most?) - so why you'd want a torrent for that, I don't know
Ooh the big day! The MMF2 day! I'mm gonna take $100 from this monts student loan and another $100 from the next to buy Developer som I'n not getting it until after 25th July.
The day has come! ... And I don't have the finances
Well, I'm off to rob a bank...
(In recent news bank robberies and petty theft have increased phenomenonally on the 30th June, to unprecedented levels. Experts and officials alike seem to believe it is bizzarely linked to the release of a certian piece of software known as Multimedia Fusion 2.)
I will take this chance to say that i can afford MMF2 developer. Although i will still consider MMF2 standard if it's a lot cheaper and only slightly less capable.
I think maybe they are a bit over priced - I'm slightly put off by the fact that the dev version is £230 while in the US it's only £199? I dunno.. I'm more tempted to the normal MMF2 now x)
I've only just begun to create with MMF, and I can already say this is far better then I could have ever hoped it would be. I haven't hit a single wall, and since there are a mass of tutorials teaching how to do the more complex things on here, life is even easier.
When the time comes, I'll no doubt buy MMF2, but for the time being, I'll learn the original, and then when I'm ready(and have the money ), I'll buy the MMF2 Developer version.
I'm still waiting on the release of the bonus pack since my current project is dependable on the platform movement object. So as soon as that's released I'll be a happy bitch!
Hahahahahah...so yea, to me there's no point on buying it today since they wont' release the bonus pack within 2 to 3 days, in Clickteam time, you know...a couple weeks, although I hope I am wrong
You guys do understand that if you buy it, chances are it's comming on a CD. So even though the bonus pack will be out in a few days, you prolly wont have the full version until 4-5 days minimum if you buy it today.
If I could remember what I'd done with any of my serial numbers at all, I'd be ordering it too. Oddly enough I can recite my KNP serial from memory, but my MMF one ended in -0076 and that's all I can remember.
First thing i checked out was the pinball movement, kinda cool. I can think of a thousand uses for this (besides pinballgames ^,^). Actually I'm making a pussler now, and the pinball movement would work great with that.
Can't find much to complain about at all, which of course is a very good thing. ('Course I haven't got into anything ridiculously dificult, codingwise, yet) I thought I had a problem with the layers, but it just seems like you can't hide the currently active layer. When I got used to that, the layers work swell.
In both TGF and MMF1.5 I found that actually building up the levels in the Level Editor got tiresome and partially difficult at sometimes. But in MMF2 those problems are yesterdays catfood! And the animation/picture editor is absolutely fantastic! Can't wait 'till I get my copy of MMF2Dev.
Anyways, I'm pretty happy with it. Now the only problem for me is that you can't paste multiple objects onto the playfield with right click from the object window; you have to drag each one.
WTF?? 99 EUROS? Dollars I can afford. Euros... well, there goes my budget for buying a camphone.
So before I run off and get it... anyone bought MMF2 yet? What's new in it? The debugger can save me weeks of work, something I keep bothering CT about. Another major problem with MMF2 is the collision system and the way MMF handles values. The old one had a bad, bad collision system. It's not just about hot-spots, sometimes things just go through other things without detecting a collision, sometimes it always detects a collision after the collision has gone past, messing up my physics engines.
The value handling was bad too, you could allocate a value to only one object, but every object would have that alt value, and yes I've read all the different methods to fix it and none worked. I did figure one out which I tossed into my Click FAQ, but that was buggy too.
Then there's the various bugs in MMF where things on a long > 300 event engine would mess up randomly.
And people ask me why I stop making games . Heck, look at my abandoned Snow Siege game. If someone fixes the engine, it could be a masterpiece after a graphics rehaul.
Point is... if MMF2 fixes all those problems, I'd be ready to get it. Oh, and I'll give 10 of my DC points to whoever can fix my engine in Snow Siege, whether in MMF or MMF2.

There is a demo...

On second thoughts, I'm keeping my precious DC points. No bug bounties today .

There is a bug in MMF 2 (demo) build D240. Which lets you create CCN's. Ive reported it to clickteam already. Lets see who else can find it. (Dont post instructions on how to do it i think thats a little mean to clickteam.)
The old mmf collisions were pretty bad, I think they deterioriated with performance if you had lots of objcts and events. I haven't tested how well things run with lots of events and stuff yet, but generally mmf2 seems to have a much faster run time so I recon collisions will be a bit better.

Firespell, don't be stupid. I can make it save as "game.ass". Just type in .ass instead of .mfa.
ya thats not funny. Thats not how the bug works. Any way i emailed clickteam and they say the ccn created only works in MMF2 demo. Not vitalize 4 or EXE's
Quote: "Hey, anyone know if you can buy MMF2 with your bank account in the Clickteam shop instead of credit card?"
Well, I did. I guess it depends on your bank, though, but usually it should work fine. When you receive the order information, there are the IBAN-codes and stuff that you need when making the bank transfer.
