I was expecting a XBOX and it just got cancelled & now i'am given an offer to update my pc because few idiots at my house think that Updating is better than buying a XBOX , IGNORING! that the update will simply coz of games.. The update is thrice as much as the price of an xbox
I don't want a pc update , retarded pcs always give me pain in the ass with all those lags .. in atleast some game.... i'am sad, please say something real good.. thanks

i've finished halo around 11 times with a stupid 64mb integrated card .. everything looked like its painted white .. you just made me feel more horrible by saying that!

no , actually the first few times i played that i did'nt even know that the graphics are actually messed up ( coz when i said everything painted white i did'nt mean it , they still looked kinda professional ) as i did'nt see any screens or videos of it ( and i was too young to even notice that ) .. and when i knew that theres a problem .. the game was still playable with a smooth frame rate & that was the only game having such a stupid problem so i was forced to ignore it.. i hav'nt played it since a year or two now..

...But surely the whole point of getting a pc upgrade is so you can run stuff like halo on max graphics when you couldn't before. So whats the problem?
To be fair, PC games only really get lag when people put the resolution up to something like 1280x1024. I mean, thats suitable for running windows, but i usually run games on 800x600 for super smooth framerate... much nicer than having sharp graphics in my opinion.

& just to inform you , i run my games on 640x480..

The only true reason computers lag is when people don't take care of them. (Loading up the hard drive to 15% free being one thing.) I run games on 1024x768, 32bit, Anti-Alias all the time (including games like Prey) and I don't get lag. In all fairness, the fact that high graphic games are being released faster then the average player can upgrade, is the only reason why I see an console being of any use.
On the other hand however, someone with a 3 year old system could easily get their PC up past X360 quality with the money they would actually spend on one, let alone the original X-Box. Also, might I add.. computers don’t run on a system where you need to pay money to play online games in addition to your internet fee (which you pay with X-Box anyway) unless its an MMO like Everquest or World of Warcraft.
If you were talking about the page file ( 15% free disc ) then i have a 80gb defragmented disc so thats not the case. And ya, i have the same view about consoles.
Halo requirements were'nt high at all , if it was'nt for the pixel shader support!
Edit: and if microsoft wished they could have made HALO:CE opengl supported so no graphical issues but those guys always want to promote their thing i.e. Direct X & XBOX ( also did'nt release it on PS2 )
