I remember a while back on the Clickteam forums someone posted a engine thing that was a first person sword, and when you moved the mouse, the sword moved with it and rotated towards the center of the screen, kinda like in those lightsaber flash games.
Anyone have that, or something similar?

Yeah I worded it crappily (and on top of that I have a 3 year old broken signature)
I'll try to find an example.
But anyways... it's kinda like... Your mouse controlls a katana, which is from a first person viewpoint. When you move the mouse, the katana moves, and the katana rotates left and right, so that the tip of it is always facing towards the middle of the screen. You use this to make slashing motions and block.

TGF or MMF?
In MMF you could use an Alpha Channel object for the sword (to get it 360 degrees, active objects only do 32 directions, and that would look crap), and then you could use something like... Ummm... Angle Calculator to rotate the object towards the center of the screen. I can make an example later maybe.

Sounds like it would be a cool interface to fight with!

It's different, but not exactly great.
Kinda like Die By Sword was back in the day.
Craps, I'm an old man!

Okay, I made this quickly. The sword is kind of crappy, and the engine is maybe not exactly what you want, but you can tweak/modify it as you see fit.

Ahhh crap it uses alphachannel and I don't have that installed (nor bonus pack 2) because I can't find my MMF disc.
....
I guess I should search for it.

I think it was included in MMF2 bonus pack 1. You could always try opening it in MMF2?

@axel[OHW]
Firstly I'm 20
Second I didn't know the age range of people on here or that read these.
---
In any case, the game was a Furry game on NewGrounds.com called "LoveSaber".
I won't go into details, but for those who are younger than 18 on this site, it is a Mature game.

Yes, I didn't know if I should admit that I knew exactly the game that Ashura was talking about. (I'm not very good at it.)

@Phizzy [Ectoprods]
Uhhh... not really... actually it's a Flash game based on Star Wars, but with a Furry twist. You destroy thrown items with your saber, and your enemy gets angry and somethin' else... n_n
Don't ask how I know about Furries...
