I need help with some MIDI music for a game I'm making. (As I have absolutely no musical talent what-so-ever) Whoever helps me (If anyone) will, of course, get full credit for the music.
I will need about 13 songs and they will be mostly action oriented. I will contact via DC mail those who wish to help me.
Unless this guy's real first name is Beethoven or some shit, it's a rip-off. I know he doesn't do only MIDI, but still..
The only way this could be a fair price would be if the guy set up a (drum) kit, mic'd the lot, threw it to a 2" reel and added some real guitars and etc. on top of it. And then good luck getting anyone to buy it. No offense, but you can get people to make you some good songs for free, or maybe ALL of them for $5-10, not $25 a pop. Ask around and you'll be okay.

Actually I think his name was Ludwig van Beethoven, and not the other way around.
Music simply is very expensive, I guess... so perhaps it's not a rip-off. But after listening to a variety of his samples, I must say I think it is. Cheaper than "real" composers, maybe, but not exactly quality either. $25 for a song... that's at least $200 for a game. Gawd.
Josh Whelchel is one of the most talented music artists around, his prices are well worth it. So quit your complaining, he's not forcing you to pay for his services.
Oh... sorry! I forgot that on TDC you're not entitled to your opinions. Yeah, he sure is one of the most talented music artists around. That's why he's only done music for games I've never heard of. How ignorant of me. Please forgive my stupidity and lacking taste.
Yeah, I suppose if you're doing something commercial with the MIDI or what ever, it could be well worth it, but us average klikers making freeware wouldn't waste the money when there's places like technomidi.com and www.vgmusic.com fpr soem nice midis.
