I have a character that has a bow for a weapon. This Bow shoots arrows. These arrows hit the enemy.
after hitting the enemy these arrows get destroyed.
My Idea:
I think this hit and destroy arrow looks like crap, so I wanted the arrows to hit the enemy and stick to him as it would happen in reall life. Even if the enemy would move around the arrow would now be PART of that enemy. (Just like "paste to background" but in a "paste to Active" style.)
My Problem:
I do not know how to do this and am asking you to help me out.
so, what do you say?
Hope you can help!
Thanx allot.
Nathan
P.S.- I was told by someone (I don't remember who) that this was possible to do in MMF2 with a "merging?" option. Is this true?
Profile edited as it messed the layout of the site up.
Nah, that way they'll all just stick to the center of the enemy (or wherever you've placed its hotspot). You could spread a value in the enemies, and when the arrows hit the enemy you could use its alterable values to record its position relative to the enemy, and the enemy's ID. I can make an example file later
I'm interested in seeing this in action. I've tried something similar with bullet holes in enemies and such, and it sometimes works, but if the enemy has animations of different sizes, it can look weird.
