This little fucker crawled up my leg the other night so I captured him in a gatorade bottle and fed him bugs for a couple of days. Then froze him. Then microscoped him.

What kind of spider is it? Besides a nasty looking one that is.
I've got one trapped up under a cup in my bathroom, the last thing I wanted to see staring me in the face after having just woken up and stumbling into the shower.
I think it's a male badumna longinqua. Or something very close in that family, since it kind of seems larger than normal. Legspan was about an inch and a half, exactly the right size to freak you out when you feel it on the back of your knee.
Ive seen some pretty damn huge spiders in my bedroom before. They seem to get bigger and even though i don't think there are any poisonous species in Britain (except zoo's lol) they really do scare the poop out of you when you first spot them.
I don't have the heart to squash them (they'll probably grab the shoe and hit me b ack) so i use some 'Raid' and cover them until they're white and leave well alone for a few minutes, then recover the body, but sometimes they get away (somehow)
