I'm not a fanboy, I haven't bought anything from nintendo for about 6 years. I'm just saying that the Wii is cool, but I think all of today's consoles are just rehashes of old consoles with better graphics. I'm definetly not getting any of the three, I'm just saying I like the Wii more.
Unlike Wii, which is half as fast as the other systems, and the same graphic resolution as a Dreamcast (note: I'm not bashing the DC, it's a cool console). But who cares! You got a wiitard, excuse me, wiimote to wave around with
That's just Wii bashing, if I was a fanboy, it would be something like this:
But 360 is twice as fast as Wii, and three times higher resolution. And it has a REAL controller, not a wiitarded remote.
I'm not a 360 fanboy. If you're talking about the comparison I wrote on hooplanet forums, I hope you realize it is a joke. You can't compare consoles out of mere specs.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
"Pretty much the first thing I said: Here's a very unscientific comparison of the three next-gen consoles."
The you went on to list the price per mhz. Which is pointless for the reason i stated.
The Wii is still a heck of a lot faster the the current generation of consoles, You may even find that it's hard to tell the difference in power between the Wii and the others.
I always find it amuzing when people dig themselves a hole, and now that he is in so deep, he's trying to dig himself out. Yea right it was a joke, if you could..you'd have sent that to the advocate magazine, or out magazine! Or lesbians R US! lol
The very first thing I said was that the comparison was unscientific, and the last thing I said was to buy the console with games you want to play The comparison is unscientific and more of a joke. A reasonable person, like AndyUK, would realize the flaws of it. I wanted to counter the Wii fanboys "It's cheaper!" argument, and hopefully make them shed a tear in the process.
Before you call me a 360 fanboy, realize that I don't even have a 360! I'm gonna buy one yes, but not this year, I'll buy one once the games I really want come out (Soul Calibur 4 and Banjo 3). Then hopefully some of the titles I'm interested in now, but not enough to buy the console for, has dropped in price (Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, Dead or Alive 4).
Now, I will tell you the winner of the console wars... IBM! They designed both the 360 and Wii processors, and they co-developed the PS3 processor with Sony and Toshiba.

I didn't call you a 360 fanboy, I called just called you a fanboy in general, because that's what you're acting like.
I wanted to counter the Wii fanboys "It's cheaper!" argument
You failed pretty hard at that, considering that it is, in fact, cheaper. And the price really isn't a major attraction anyway. And that the two others are known loss leaders, meaning it's expected that they'd be fractionally more expensive per component--because Nintendo isn't giving away free hardware like the others are. *Nobody* is surprised by this.
You want some maths? The majority of users here are european, which means they're getting raped on consoles anyway (because euros = US dollars, right?).
Regardless of how many cents more the cover screws on the wii's front flap cost, the relative markup on the other two far overshadows this as far as most of us here care (and brits get to pay even more). Microsoft and Sony are inflicting 34.7% and 56% more rape respectively.
And NONE OF THIS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE GAMES, which should be the ONLY reason you buy a console. You don't win anything because a console you don't own is inferior in some way, and starting arguments about which one is bestest on the internet doesn't do anything other than making you a fanboy and giving those of us planning on buying two or more consoles (or just plain don't care) something to laugh at.
Again, EVERYONE KNOWS they aren't selling by a loss. This is not some astounding revelation.
Additionally a value comparison is only relevant between different quantities of three identical products. These aren't simply boxes of ram or processing. In this case all three consoles have different services and product focuses: if you think all three are interchangeable, you're an idiot. But that would be a wierd paradox for a fanboy like you, wouldn't it?
OHHHH no, FF7 was the best game out on PS - easy. It was comparable if not better than Zelda OoT for N64. The graphics didn't give you much to look at but the storyline and gameplay in that specifically was amazing. FF8 comes a close second out of the Final Fantasy range. Nine and Ten were pretty but they lost the plot after that. All in my opinion anyway.
