To prove that there is some sense of programming skill in here, explain why the follower to the C language was named C++.

C increased in value, with which they mean it's an improved version of C. What the hell, man?
I'd much rather know why the person who made C named it like a followup of the B language... Edited by the Author.

Next question then What was Linus Torvalds' original nickname on the web that was neglected to be used as name for the core that he created (nowadays known as Linux) due to lack of goodness?

oh and to answer the question to C++ more acuratly, the ++ function in C++ is the increment up function and C++ is an increment up above C.
They also have D too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D_programming_language
They have a letter languae all the way down to F http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D_programming_language
Pretty soon we will be down to Language X and we'll be like 'wtf is this?!' Edited by the Author.

but that would mean that C has improved, which it hasn't, it's stayed the same...

If you're referring to that C++ and C are the same thing, you must be wrong.
