ok it all come down to what one uses to build with and how thay use their art programs
This map was made with (Paint Shop Pro 9)(Poser6)(Bryce 5)
Pic 1 is a fare shot of the over all map.
Pic 2 is a close up and what one would see in game play.
It can look better if i put in the tree rocks and plaints.
i just wipe it up to show you what can be done with thee art programs.

The cliff are made with Bryce 5 the grass was made with Paint Shop Pro 9 The character was made with Poser 6.
The trix to geting it all to mach is using Paint Shop to tone it down or even to tern it in to a cartoon looking graphics.
You can even render it in to cartoon character with in poser it self and bring it back in to Paint Shop to fine toon the over all look.
Though I'm very impressed by the terrain, as you can see the 3D models don't fit in well with the environment because they have different resemblances. The first image was better but the character model is still rather 'not' what I'd like it to be ingame. Considering my first game will be abit like 'Harvest Moon' but more online, I don't think I'd have much use for such complex sprites. If there are flowers and trees for that terrain and a slightly less details character that's abit 'rounder' and shorter, I would without a doubt work with your stuff.
PS, I read your email and I cant reply to it atm because its 3 AM, but I will get to it.
Will I am not looking to build your world GFX.
As for the maps not maching up thay do
what you see is a raw pice of art with a poser fram overlay put to gather in under 5 Minutes .
The mane reson it looks off is the angle of the sprite .
I posted it to show the user that it can be done I did not do it to make it look good.
'Harvest Moon art as in Fractal art work As in SNES art work
WillWill I do not think Poser art work is what you need.
What you need is a Fractal artist to build your Gfx.
good luck finding one.
Their work is not cheep and i do not think you will find one.
It take months of work just to dev one set of animation For just one sprite set.
It's fine for my work though, and I bet you'll make it look better in the end too.. I certainly wouldn't be able to any better. Of the others, you seem to be most promising.
Well if you want me to I could do a sprite sheet of the character I made... some walking animation and attack animation, defence... I dont realy have any thing to do right now so... just tell me if you want it...
Well I have to edit his angel a bit... you will se when I am fineshed with the sprite sheet... hm.. Do you have anything against AVI sprite sheet? (an avi movie with all the character´s animations) I have used this tech to import my sprites to some of my games... It works as good as a image sheet...
Just posting this becues the last time i rush my work and it did not come out right.
This is a pic of my ISO project call [Hell World].
This time it all machs and the key frames are at the right angle.
