I must admit ive not played that many Zelda games,
I own Link's awakening, Windwaker (and therefore Ocarina of time) And The minish cap. So i'm no stranger to the wonders of Zelda, however i feel that each game is rather formulaic.
Hoever perhaps Soliel is different enough to not be classed as a clone or ripoff (however you see it)
I do feel that it has much better music and graphics than Zelda, and the gameplay gives more freedom, if a little less to do.
The animal companions part (where you can choose two animals to pair up and help you with their skills) is a touch of genious.
Link's awakening is my favourite zelda game by far.
I actually joined Zelda later on... having played OoT on the N64 (because it was pretty much the best game on it ) then encouraged my to buy Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. I never bought the previous but I've played a couple anyway. My Mega Drive days are filled with memories of Streets of Rage II and all of the Sonic series
I know exactly how cookies work. Proof of that is at www.silvernova.co.uk and a few websites that I have designed so far are located at www.webhero.co.uk
And I know it was obviously a typo... Don't take my correction as an insult - had any one else of corrected you there would be no problem.
Gah.. I never bought Zelda for my ol' Nintendo. I sure loved to play it at friends' though. I started playing Zelda with Ocarina of Time, and Ive played most games on emulators (including Majora's Mask, which me and my gf are completing together now.. She gets the controller though )
Alundra is a fantastic zeldaesque game, i imagine many of you have played it, its kinda zelda with balls. i suggest you try it if you havnt. (its on ps1 btw)
Hmmm... I played LTTP when I was really young and it really intrigued me. I played it on Gameboy Advance later on and it just didnt grab me anymore. I'm a huge zelda fan though, I actually think the first zelda game is the only game I've played that really had that adventurous feel. I thought Wind Waker was really nice too, and Majora's Mask was certainly something special. Ocarina of Time is brilliant, even Adventure of Link is really fun. My friend bought me that Mini-Classic Game and Watch game the other day and it's pretty addictive.
