Hey every one, I own an xbox 360 and my internet has secruity on it, i think its called WEP. I use a belkin wireless router which is connected to my 360 to get the signal from the DLINK router which is source of wireless. The problem is that ever since the secruity was put on main router, I now can't connect to it!! So will it work if i get a long network cable and join it directly from the 360 to the DLINK router.
long LAN cables will eliminate the security problem yesh. Or better still get the MAC addresses of all the wireless devices on your network and make an allow list. then you can turn WEP off.
Thanks Mr James I will be up in the roof after lunch, literally.
Im gonna play halo 2 tonight, oh thats a good idea about the allow list, should've thought about that before I bought a 15m LAN cable haha. Oh well at least the direct connection will speed up the connection won't it?
xbox 360 is just the best computer ever it beats the crap out of other computers. I don't get how people can say wii is better or ps3 is better becuz if you look at the specs its obvious that xbox is best. cant help with your promblem as I dont play online games.

Haha.
It's the games that makes a game console good. If you look at it that way, I'd say the SNES beats the crap out of the XBox 360 any time. (And the PSX after that. In my opinion. )
It's hard to tell which is the most powerful console. Both 360 and PS3 are obviously more powerful than the Wii. But between those two. The PS3 has a more powerful cpu but it's also a lot harder to program for. Also, on the PS3 half the RAM is dedicated to graphics, while on the 360 the developer is free to split the RAM as he wish. On top of that, the PS3 OS takes up three times as much RAM as the 360 OS, and unlike the 360 OS doesn't have online functions built in.
All PS3s come with harddrives, while the 360 Core comes without HDD. Because of that developers can't rely on HDD for caching data for quick access (not uncommon on classic Xbox games) on the 360.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
VERY good point phreddy. The fact that dev's can't count on the HD being there is definately hampering development on the 360. Course, the Core system is going to be phased out very soon (or it already has been), so I'm sure we'll be seeing a bunch of games with some sort of "Hard Drive required" sticker on them.
