I played it casually for just over 2 years, my account now resides inactive however. I accumulated over 30M before retiring, my stats are above average for a non member also.
Believe it or not, but a friend of mine literally just quit Runescape and gave me his fortune, namely his Mask Set, Santa and 1M in cash, not to mention thousands of runes and the like! Combined with the current Santa I already own, I must easily exceed 100M in bank value.
I'm mining iron at the moment, which is a pain if there's loads of people and you're slow.
But neither of those are true for me.
And if some other high level miners come along i can usually click faster than them
So far I've stockpiled 2.1k iron ores, and I bet i've drop mined about 1k.
Not selling it though, after I get to 60 mining i'm mining coal, that way i should have about 5k iron ores
meaning 5k steel bars
should get me to mid 50 smithing
Never played it, but there was a job in the local paper that required a "telephone moderator" - someone to keep an eye on the game, but also to answer any queries by phone.
If I had ever played Runescape, I might have applied for that job
They'd probably be able to tell now, because of all the random events that occur.
Thats why you see loads of combat level 3 people just dieing, they get attacked by stuff.
It's funny.
Worst for it is woodcutting, almost every yew tree has 4-5 people around it, all level 3.
My signature is never too big!!!

Haha yeah, my friend showed me that. Like 12 level 3 characters hovering over a tree until it's cut down, then the entire group migrates to a new tree all at once. Quite the spectacle to see.

Apparently I hadn't logged in for half a year before today.
And I think I only played for a couple of weeks then after not playing for two years. Or more. I played properly in like 2002 or something.
I think I've given all my stuff away more than once. I used to have stuff made of dragons or something. Back when that meant something (THIS IS REFERRING TO YESTERYEAR).
I used to play it for a bit less than a year. Right now retired, 83 combat I believe, just below 1000 total and with everything sold 6m+ in bank. So glad I quit, a massive waste of time... It's very scary how much I would play it back then. Now I log in just for holiday events. Oh, bring back tradable holiday items!
